Airbag light

My airbag is on and will not go off. It's been on for months. Could it be the wire under the seat? It's like a man sittin in a seat with a deployed bag with a seat belt on soo...yeah. What's up with that

Re: Airbag light

could be a problem with the srs system if it just came on out of nowhere. i would get it looked at cause when the light is on, airbags will not work.

Re: Airbag light

Hmmm...I was afraid of that. That'll cost an arm and a leg for the dealership to look at.

Re: Airbag light

You could try the reset procedure yourself, it may or may not clear the light. The dealer will charge a diagnostic fee to read the code. Normally fee equals 1 hour of labor rate.

Re: Airbag light

I have had a SRS light on in my car and a defective belt (yeah I know, it's super safe) for a long time until I decided to call at Honda Canada. Then, they told me that the security system is lifetime warrantied, and it applies for all North American Honda's.

Conclusion: rather than costing me 400$ to get it fixed at the local mechanic, I got it fixed by Honda and it didn't cost me a single dime.

It doesn't matter if the manufacturer's warranty is over...it's lifetime.
