Okay so today I frigates I would start the task of replacing my front right sway bar end link. I tried to first remove it but using a 14 mm wrench and a Allen key to try to break the bolt loose. I tried soaking it in penetrating oil. I tried using vice grips to hold it still. Nothing, I got a saw zaw and tried to cut the bolt. This is my first time using a saw zaw and it took almost 40 minutes to cut half way through. Is this normal? I was using a 14 tpi metal cutting blade form Canadian tire. Should I invest in a better blade like a Diablo or Milwaukee torch blade? Thanks in advance
I usually don't even try to undo the nut on those. I just grab my angle grinder with a cut off disk and cut the nut off.
Only used a sawzall a handful of times but I remember it taking a good amount of time to cut through some 1/2" rebar (5-10 minutes). I would guess the blade is already dull and is no longer cutting well.

I don’t currently have access to a angle grinder. I’ll probably go and buy a Diablo metal cutting blade cause the ones I’m using burn out pretty quick
I went looking in the basement a found a dremel. Will I be able to cut a blot with the dremel ? What blade would I need ? My hardware store just has regular metal cutting dremel blades will those work
You would need some sort of cut off disk. It may not have enough reach to go all the way through but you could make it work with enough disks and time.
You can get an angle grinder from Harbor Freight for like $20 plus some cheap 40 grit cut off disks. That's what I use and it's works just fine for sway bar links.

i actually bought that exact disk. It worked great cut through the bolt in a minute. Way better than a saw zall. I actually live in Canada so I don’t have a harbour freight here but I’ve always wanted to check them out next time I’m in the US
