Engine rebuild

How’s it going guys. So I’ve been rebuilding my d17a vtec motor in my 01 civic, first time I put it back in I screwed up on the bearings. Had to pull motor out and redo it. Now that that’s all good, I put the motor back in and car would not crank or start. I pulled the engine harness with the motor, and now I hear a clicking coming from the orange fuse in the passenger glove box which is supposedly an ecu relay, I tried replacing it and it still isn’t working, any ideas? I’m thinking maybe I frayed a wire pulling the harness out of the firewall? Do you guys think I need a new harness ? Any help is greatly appreciated.

so yeah actually forgot to mention that I put a new starter as well because I thought maybe that was the problem. Do you think it could be a connection somewhere?

Re: Engine rebuild

if it is not cranking and the battery is good, then just directly fire the starter

Re: Engine rebuild

Could be explained by an almost dead battery after sitting to the side during rebuild. Make sure it's fully charged.
