Looking for a recommendation on engine mounts

Hi, I have a 2002 civic LX sedan automatic that I use as a daily driver and I need to replace the engine mounts. I just want the smoothest ride possible and don't care about performance, so I was hoping somebody could recommend a good brand that I could go with for that. Thanks!

Smoothest ride will be Honda genuine (OEM) mounts. They can be expensive though but should last much longer than aftermarket brands.

Re: Looking for a recommendation on engine mounts

I've tried cheating out and using AC Delco aftermarket and the fit was not perfect for the mounting holes or the bushing centering.

Rocking energy polys in OEM mounts now.

But for your application, I'm with HR, OEM is best.

Re: Looking for a recommendation on engine mounts

I can third what the above responses are telling you. When it comes to motor mounts, only OEM will perform well. Aftermarket mounts will typically be much cheaper but at a cost. They may look the same and even fit the same, but the difference is in the rubber. Aftermarket mounts have HARD rubber, so all the vibration gets transferred to the cabin. OEM rubber is softer and more pliable/giving, so the vibration is absorbed. Difference is night and day.

You will have to pay a hefty price for the OEM mounts, but they typically last a long time compared to aftermarket.

My assumption: OEM mounts = 10+ years vs Aftermarket mounts = 2 years or less
