Unable to fill fuel tank
I just bought a used 2020 Honda Civic EX-L Sedan with 4500 miles. I just went through my first tank of gas. The car does not have a gas cap, but instead an automatic cap built into the gas door with little spring loaded door on fuel filler tube. When I tried to fill the tank, The auto shut off on the pump keeps shutting off like it's full and I can't squeeze the pump handle anymore. It only took 7.1 gallons (had 1/4 tank to start with). When I started the car again, the tank was between 3/4 and full on the gauge. Is there a trick to get the tank all the way full?
Thanks

Re: Unable to fill fuel tank
Mine fills 10-11 gallons just fine on empty.. Then again, the little lock thingy on the pumps, I don't squeeze all the way, I lock it in on the first click no matter where I go
edit: my cousin had that issue filling up before, going full squeeze on pumps and it'd shut off. She called me in a panic not knowing what to do. Told her to squeeze the lever gently and it worked just fine.

Re: Unable to fill fuel tank
still better than miatas... 1-3rd generations you need to point the fuel filler in the direction of the car, otherwise the pump will stop early.
