MONTREAL area: General Discussion
hey nindoo, nice choice for the digicam. im sure u gonna love it. if its your first time using a digital camera i strongly recommend u go thru the painful but educating procedure of reading the manual!
u'll see how its different compared to a conventional camera, when it comes to taking pics. for example how to focus properly when taking the pic (its really eaaaaaaasy...)

Thanks for the Tip, I'll read the manual even though it looks aufly long.
well there r some basic thing u should know abt. like how to focus with a digital camera.
basically u need to slightly hold down the button to take pics. it gives u a signal if it focused right or not. and then u continue pressing the button and take ur pic.
u guys already do that?

Well I don't know how to focus it, I just held down on the button so it would take the picture. I'm gonna read the manual cause I took a picture the other day and it was fuzzy.

)Lastly, for something completely different..
if some 7thgen members from Ottawa came down for a trip (looks to be a Saturday), who else would be up for a meet?
I say who else as I'd easily meet up with them again as they are all cool people - some good Halo players too

Another username that I haven't seen from MTL - glad this thread is bringing some out
As for not seeing our rides - do you drive with your eyes closed?
just kidding as well I doubt I've seen these guys cars anyways.. even if I did, I wouldn't have known it to be them. Don't get me wrong, I've seen some modded 7thgens when driving/in parking lots/driveways, just don't know who the drivers might be. But at the same time, I don't leave the vast majority of the West Island (around DDO) so I cannot say how big Montreal truly is.Anyways, any pics of your car or perhaps what area are you from?

Nearest people to you on the board I believe would be BeLowMe and xXxJDMCivicxXx .. think both are in St-L but I'm probably wrong on that account (too tired to think straight

You sure it isn't because of the cold for the stiffness
I'm impressed you threw them on at the moment .. I'd have probably waited till the salt was over and done it. Props on topping us some more - probably be a nice pleasure seeing your dropped car in person Why is my vagina bleeding?

cause my shock were blown and the ride with blown shock and skunk2 is not the perfect match..i was scared that it might break something else
not sure how it works but the b&G are lifetime warranty
and they are rust proof....i think
oh well i hope the salt wont do any damage

I guyz, count me in the 7th gen. owners around Mtl., I live in Joliette. I own a black 01 SI (EX for U.S. folks), Veloz body kit, koni yellows w/ neuspeed sports on 17" HT3's. AEM c.a.i., Solo short shifter and a couple other things. It's in the shop this winter, now installing a race seat, ACT stage 1 clutch kit w/ lightweight flywheel, custom header and complete exhaust and port & polish. My only goal is to have a quick n.a. D17. Since there are practicaly no K's in the area yet and only 1 turbo that I know of, I should be able to have plenty of fun, even with the nitrous equiped 7th gens.
I'm an active member of Club Civic Québec and I hope you guyz will subscribe to our forum and become members, it's weeeel worth the 20$/year! Just our first outing to the racetrack in Tremblant last May was all worth the membership! We "paraded" (at 110-120 km/h...) behind the pace car for over 3 laps and got photoshooting time on the grid during the 6 hrs. of Tremblant (Rolex series, sedan gt...). We spent the entire day in the pits after the cops escorted us in the morning from Ste-Agathe to Tremblant (over 60 nice and clean civics in line).

Do you guys get to road race on track regularly?
As much as we can. There will be a lot more lapping days this coming summer. We're organising right now a lesson/lapping day at Tremblant this coming may with Jim Russel. Should go for less than 500$.

Hmmmmmm, interesting. I want to get into road racing, but cost has always been a factor. That would be a great experience with an actual instructor.
Do you need a helmet?
The actual cost will be about 455$, not much for a complete day of lessons from Jim Russel instructors and lapping the nicest most technical track in Canada. You would need a Snell 2000+ helmet I think, but I still need to confirm.
Sorry everybody i think i'm slepping i never see the topic but now count me in the 7th gen, owners from Montreal
