So, here it was 3 days after getting my civic, doo dee doo minding my own buisness with my friend driving along. "Hey dude theres a cop"... "ya man I see him"... break at the stop light... "geez I hate cops man they always make me nervous even when I dont do anything". So I continue my little path, whoa that Jeep is breaking awfully hard maybe I shouldnt have been following so close... hurm.. I know Ill move into the other lane, doesnt seem to be anyone there. Moves into the left lane... *his rear view mirror fills with dancing red and blue lights* (are there any more colors? than that?). So Im like, well ****.. that sucks. Pulls to the right side of the road busts out his license, oh the insurance company still hasnt faxed my copy of the insurance yet, well atleast Im on the insurance plan. "License and Insurance"... *gives his license and trys to explain* *cop walks back to his crown victoria*.. anyways... *cop comes back* *yells* "YOU CUT ME OFF BLAH BLAH BLAH, I NEARLY GOT RAN OFF THE ROAD! PUNK! YOU JUST DONT CARE ABOUT ANYONE BUT YOURSELF" ... "no officer I really didnt mean to.... I was jus.." ... "SHUT UP I DONT WANNA HEAR IT"... *signs the thing* both partys leave. Okay time out, dumb idea cutting off cop, did I see him? No, should he be mad? Maybe, but people need to not take driving offenses so personally, when people **** me off I just down shift and go around them. A month and a few days later, in court. Doo dee doo, judge walks in... we all stand up, anyways as the story goes they get me on the stand and ask me " Did you not use a blinker?".. "ya I didnt use a blinker"... "then why are you hear fighting this?" and replied "because I had no alternative in my situation".. my friend asks "why did you not use your blinker in this emergancy situation?"... "well you see there was a truck behind me, well I think it was a truck all I could see was the grill because my car is much smaller than a truck I suppose it was lifted which scared me, and the SUV infront of me breaked hard without a blinker, being that it was a new car I wasnt really in the position to know what kind of condition this car was in, and the only way I felt I could save my self was to put my self in a better situation by moving out of the lane"... prosecuter "so do you think you were following to close?"... "well I just had come out of a turn and was blinded by the Highway pillars and had no way of knowing if I was indeed traveling to close, evidently the officer didnt think so"... my friend "Officer, you say he was driving to close to the SUV yet you didnt give him a ticket for that as well, so how is it you come to this conclusion now?"... *officer is stumpted*... okay if both partys are finished... The county of bexar finds the defendant not guilty..

Conclusion? If you break the law, and can prove you were in danger then you can get away with breaking the law. . I figured not everyone would know this, because niether the cop nor the prosecuter knew anything about it. Also its best to have a previous court battle on paper to prove that you can just incase they dont know the law.
