civic top speed
If I ever get on the track I will tell you how fast my 04 sedan goes, *** going that fast on street roads unless its closed or out in BFE...
Edit, went on a trip to Ocean City, MD and I went 100mph pretty easy, I didn't even notice it till my friend told me to slow down hahaha

OK, enough with the bull...... Stop talking about how fast your car goes or will go and just POST IF THERE'S OR NOT A GOVERNOR FOR THE 7th GEN CIVICS AND HOW TO REMOVE IT IF THERE'S ONE. There's obviously something cause my car does it too. I've read this whole section and done research here but truly absolutely NOONE really seems to know how to handle the problem, so can anone really just break it down plain and simple on what to do to fix this?
Thanks.

wow old thread.. 120 mph in my 2k1 ex... 138mph in supercharged si .... 156mph in 350Z which is speed limited by the ecu
LX auto here 110 and my car just won't go any faster...well the road was ending lol...yes that's how slow the speed goes up at that point...
now..in my benz...I've done 130 easily and it was only at 4.8K rpms, it maxes out at 6200 or 6800rpms..so I have a while to go...kekekeke

i had 119.. but that was before i tightened the throttle cable, plus it wasn't even floored all the way at 119.. so i duno my top speed. but i know it's way less than the Supra i should've bought.. grr.
the governed speed limit is 112. unless you have taken it to honda and had your ecu corrected it is not possible. i work at honda so i should know. also that cost about 160 bucks. 2 hours worth of work. and 131 in a civic is just not happening. i would like to see a video. other than that its not possible.
The governor kicks in at 115. Tried it on 10 different 7th gens. (literally 10, a bunch of my friends own civics). Most of them are somewhat modded. Be it LX or EX. Even if you replace the ECU, unless you have major mods, you cannot hit 150 No Fkin way. The car has a hard time getting to 115 to hit the speed limiter unless you are going down hill. Come on guys, dont push it, you know you havent gone 150, its an I4 for crying out loud. I max'ed out at 115 (give or take a couple) and i admit it.

Arclan I'm from Montreal, Canada and my car speed is not electronically delimited. Its called a Honda civic coupe si but its the same as your ex(our si is your ex and our sir is your si). I have gone 124.27mph I was pretty close to redlining. I'm guessing I can go a max of 126(I have a 5 speed manual, maybe I can shift more optimally and get a few more miles).
Arclan were the cars you tested automatic?
