You got overkill there man, ha ha. I just had a Compustar FM system installed. Nothing too fancy, but it will let me know if someone has smacked my car. If they have, then death will come very very slowly for them. The door sensors come with the compustar, as well as hood pin and trunk sensor. 2 shock sensors at MOST should be all you need. Auto-close for window and sunroof are options on all decent alarms and temp sensors will run you an extra (unnecessary) expense. Proximity sensors are useless IMO unless you have a convertible. Definitely don't put them on the outside, you'll just be running out to false alarms every 10 minutes cause people walked by your car or parked next to you at the mall. "Window break sensors" are not necessary - their function will overlap that of the shock sensors. Battery backup is a plus if you find yourself out of pager range of your car a lot. 2 sirens are a bit much. If anything, get a couple of those little piezo tweeters for the inside, so a thief will go deaf if trying to take your stuff. Strobes can be fun for showing off, but really your flashers going off with the alarm should do the job. GPS tracker - you gotta pay for like the Boomerang service at that point. Remember all of this stuff is optional and as such costs extra - remember your alarm is for protecting your car, not to have as many gadgets as you can cram in. Think very hard about what you are trying to accomplish by having all of this stuff.
Thanks telly I need that info I'm going nut's thinking.
I just got my car like 2 month's and it has no stereo upgrades yet but I want to be prepared. you know. and yeah those 130 Db sirens are the one inside the car horn is good enough on the outside. but yeah thanks and you around Ottawa cuz it would be nice to see your system in action the plastic demos don't do it for me you know.
