ALARM does not function for HONDA CIVIC 2001

My alarm does not function. The Red LED Light for security is not blinking either in my dash board. Lock/unlock function well but lights don't flash anymore when I lock or unlock the car. What should I do? Please help.

the first thing i would do is check the fuse(s)

is this a factory or aftermarket alarm?

Re: ALARM does not function for HONDA CIVIC 2001

Do you have an override/mode switch? if so, press to enable. It may take two or three "clicks" for the correct setting. Auto (time delay), Manual (with horn), Manual (no horn), Off, etc.

Where is your red light located? On the dash or under the dash? If under the dash, a switch is located behind the light. If on the dash, a switch is usually located under the dash within arm's reach. Make sure your key is in the ignition, usually the ON (number 2) position.

If all else fails, you can sometimes trick the alarm back on by disconnecting the battery, then reconnecting.

Good luck.
