This man has a point.....They could always buy the cores they need from a junk yard until they have enough cores lying around so that they don't need to wait on materials to make the heads you poor souls are waiting on.

Well, I put out $1000 for the head and all the necessary parts for install. DH won't even refund my pulley, so I'm stuck with everything. Might as well have it installed. A few members who know their stuff told me it looks okay, and I also think they did a decent job. I'm expecting around 10whp from it, and maybe more with tuning. I'll be posting results once it's on.
I think DH develops parts exclusively for racing applications. That's why Josh always brags about his built crx. The problem with the pulley was all of us got a prototype. The head already belongs on the car, and the port work is just changing it for better air flow. So I think it will be safe as long as they cleaned it well.

This is to cover myself should anything happen. When I send my old head back to DH, I should be getting the $100 core refund as already promised. I also expect them to pay for shipping costs. Here is a PM that Josh sent me when we were finalizing payment details.
If I don't receive $100+shipping costs on the core, DH will be in serious trouble.

Message: Hey man I didn't charge you shipping on the head. I thought I was
missing something. $40 for the shipping on the head. I will pay shipping back
on your stock head, but I can't offer the cheap price without shipping or Dave
will not go for it. Let me know. Thanks again man

Also as a 7thgen member I ask all people who like or hate DH and have core parts, please send them back.
Once we all have our work done and post results, we will know. The good, the bad and the ugly.
I will post results. There will be no hiding the nubers. I have already posted the pre Dh dyno. Just waiting on the head and custom I/M.
not tryin to **** anyone off or anythin but 1. the stock ex has 127 not 130, and thats at the crank not at the wheels, 2. i havn't seen anywhere you will get 15hp from any of these items, most say gains UP TO 15hp can be seen but they do not say you will get 15, up to means anywhere from 1-15, 3. the reason you had 96 or however much hp was cause dyno shows your wheel hp not crank

Believe me, I'm very angry with DH for a number of reasons. I'm putting out $1500 total for the head, parts, and install. If I don't see at least 10-15whp, I'm gonna be pissed. And even then it's not worth what I paid. Plus the $185 I'm out for the pulley. Stupid Josh and his lies. I can't believe he hasn't been banned yet.

That's why I feel bad about it. I could have gotten something much better like you say. Well it's too late, so I'll see what happens. I'm hoping Monday for the install.
cool, check for shavings.
On a sidenote, you do know that unless DH uses a $100,000+ CNC milling machine for doing the head work, you can do it yourself if you're patient enough. Other than that, you can get the port sizes of the intake and header you're using and take the head to a local shop. Tell them you want the intake ports size X and the exhaust ports size Y to match your bolt-ons.
DH seems to be quite a mess overall; I still don't get why he won't refund a friggin' crank pulley, thats just bad buisness.
Can't wait till more people get theirs installed and post some results... That will either make or break DH for me and probably a few others.

Yeah. I paid $740 for the DH head. But then you have to factor in new head bolts, gaskets, and other supplies, plus install. Everything combined brought my total to $1500. We'll see if it gets installed tomorrow or post-poned again.
A) "Don't Believe In Dh-Racing??? Well Take A Look At This Link Below. Dave Hickman Makes A 9 Second Pass (1:18 Into The Video, Yellow Hatch). All The Motors Dave Raced With He Built Himself."
Trying to fool the consumer into thinking that their engine part will have as much time and effort put into as Dave Hickman puts his time into his own engines. And what is up with capitalizing every word?
B) "Dh-Racing Has 15 Years In World Record Dyno's, Mind Blowing Race Cars, and The Most Powerful Motors On The Planet!!!"
Once again notice the same tactic used. Bragging about BS and trying to mislead the customer by showing accomplishments that dont mean jack when a customer's engine is being worked on. Once again notice the capitalization of each word. What is up with that?
And like I said before:

Why did he get banned? Are you joking? I sure hope so.
Looks like the head isn't getting installed again. I called the mechanic 10 times this morning and nobody picked up. I'm getting pissed because my supposed appointment was a week ago.
