the alt problem.....(if there is one) will only be noticable at idle.
Highway driving/charging will not be effected. Just don't bump your system while stuck in traffic in the rain with your wipers on.
If you have a big system & lots o lights ect. you should go and get an opima battery, preferably a blue top, deep cycling one. If you serious about your system you should already have one.

I have a large system and some extra lighting, but I hardly ever have the system cranked up enough to be noticed. So it shouldn't be too bad on me. Also, my crank pulley didn't come in.
Guess that's what I get for someone relaying info to me while I'm away from home, lol.

Yes I already have an Optima battery. I want to know how much of a hit our wimpy alt is going to take with this pully. I don't want to listen to my system under certain conditions.

i will be going to the track on february 28th as long as it doesn't rain!
i'm still at school so no i haven't gotten the belt sizes..its raining like crazy here right now...hopefully i can still make it to the shop after class...
one question...um...i seem to be idling at 500-600 rpms...is that cause of the alternator becoming weaker???
my car idles anywhere between 150-300. hmm, hopefully this loss in alternator power isnt that much. I dont have a crazy system, just 1 sub 2 amps, no leds, or extra lighting. I havnt recieved yet mine either.
Tell me what you don't like about yourself....

Yeah, that's the normal range. As far as the pulley, you guys somehow expect parts to magically give you hp without affecting anything else. Anything that gives a noticable gain will affect the car in some way. Do you think a turbo car will last as long as stock? There are always tradeoffs you make when modding.
If you can't accept this, there is no reason to mod your car in the first place.

Looks good. But honestly guys, life is too short to worry about stuff like this all the time. Everything will be fine.
So did you notice a good improvement?

i'm not gunna go and get everyone's hopes up saying i felt a giant gain..but i do feel a noticeable gain starting from 3k rpms....nothing's for sure though...that's why i'll be going to the track next week! this is looking to be a good investment...but we (or i at least) i have to wait one more week to get some ACTUAL results...
imp:

i'll try to get under the car later tonight or tomorrow...car is REALLY wet from the rain and hail...but i'll see if i can jack it up and get any pictures...and i'll check for any marks on the belts...i'll give you guys the product number later...its serpentine or something (the company that makes the belts)...but i don't have the receipt right now....i'll try to get it on later...
