Hello everyone, i have some questions about rebuilding my 92 VX transmission, as well as some other questions. Would I be able to take gears 3 and out of a DX/LX/Del sol S transmission and put them into mine? all these gears are a bit closer and im curious if I can just swap them in. I also want to swap in the 4.058 Final drive, Would this be possible? And would it be possible to switch these gears out of transmissions for the D16 engines?
My goal is to have closer gears like my 95 del sol S had while still being able to drive on the highway without being so high in the rpms like I would be with an civic SI 5th gear and final drive (I'd honestly like to put in the fifth gear from a CRX HF to have a very long fifth gear ). So I figured might as well just rebuild my transmission and change the gear ratios and final drive and im wondering if this is possible, thank you

If this isnt possible then I plan on getting a used transmission and rebuilding it, I assume the tranny's on the D16 engines will mount up to mine but can anyone confirm or deny this? And would it just mount up or would I need different shifter linkage?
