ok.. im wondering what gearing for our civics are better
im told hx gearing offers better better top end speed...
im kind of a dummy when it comes to tech stuff like this...
and can i mix and match gears from various models?
like lets say i like first gear in my ex cause it pulls really nicely but in someone elses car it pulls harder in 5th.. can i swap gears like that?
EX
Gear Ratios:
1st Gear: 3.143
2nd Gear: 1.87
3rd Gear: 1.241
4th Gear: 0.97
5th Gear: 0.757
Reverse: 3.231
Final Drive: 4.412
LX
Gear Ratios:
1st Gear: 3.462
2nd Gear: 1.87
3rd Gear: 1.241
4th Gear: 0.97
5th Gear: 0.711
Reverse: 3.231
Final Drive: 4.111
HX
Gear Ratios:
1st Gear: 3.461
2nd Gear: 1.75
3rd Gear: 1.166
4th Gear: 0.857
5th Gear: 0.71
Reverse: 3.23
Final Drive: 3.842
now im assuming that the lx gearing is the same as a dx but again.. i was wondering if i could mix and match gears, if so, which would be the optimum gearing for each gear for fastest acceleration
