Emissions stuck in monitoring

So I recently bought a 2000 ex coupe off the side of the road and she drives great. No problems what so ever, but for some reason I can not get the emissions to complete their test. I took it to Honda and they cleared the whole system and reset the electrical system and told me to drive it (the whole constant speed thing). I drove it roughly 2000 miles and even did Honda drive cycle several times and still nothing!! Can someone please help me, I tried everything! The emissions are still in monitoring

There’s 4 of them, catalyst, evap, o2, and I forgot the 4th, I would have to double check

Misfire maybe? Do you have a scanner of your own you can check with? Seems really weird that they would take so long to reset, evap takes a while but everything else should set fairly quickly. Unless the ecu is failing, but I would try a different scanner.

Right!? I used several scanners my uncle has including Honda’s technicians scanner and they all read the same thing. I was thinking about replacing the ecu, would that help any?

Worth a shot but I would try to borrow one off a buddy before I spend any money

Re: Emissions stuck in monitoring

If you know the exact conditions needed to get the computer to run all of the monitors and have space to do it with no other traffic (LOL!), the drive cycle can be finished maybe as quick as 15 minutes.

Does it never ever run those monitors at all, or does it run the monitors (and pass) during a drive but then reset to incomplete after you shut the engine off?
Does the PCM lose its memory after the key is turned off?
Is the back up fuse blown? Has someone done some creative wiring?
