Ill give it gas and it doesn’t pick up how it should in high rpm’s. Like I’ll put the pedal on the floor and it won’t do anything but accelerate slowly it won’t rev higher or push out any louder sound like it’s accelerating. I don’t have a clamp on the gas line to the intake manifold will that cause it to not pull the pressure it needs? But it revs fine when idling.

There should be a clamp there and if it were leaking fuel you would smell it all the time. While the car is idling and the hood up you can manually move the throttle pulley by hand to rev the engine while inspecting for gas leak.

Any CEL codes?
Is the engine a Vtec?

Timing belt may have jumped a tooth
Clogged catalytic converter

I hear a squishy sound when it gave it full throttle but the engine is non vtec and its the fuel return line that doesn’t have a clamp.

Many possibilities for the acceleration issue:
Fuel pump may be weak and not supplying spec psi
How many miles on engine and is it the original catalytic convertor?

The fuel pump was good when I had the last motor in it...and no catalytic converter.
