Did I flood my engine?
I was fixing my throttle cable and I pressed on the gas several times to see how it felt. Afterward the car drove very slow. I smelled the oil which only has 800 miles on it, and it smelled heavily like fuel. The car drove great before I did this. I got the impression that on a fuel injected vehicle, pressing on the gas does nothing while engine is off.

Re: Did I flood my engine?
I was having power/fuel in oil symptoms before this though. I wonder if it's the fuel pressure regulator (too rich, too lean) because while driving, I get this surge of power, then it goes away, then comes back all randomly. I gotta check my fuel pressure...

Re: Did I flood my engine?
pressing the gas pedal only opens the throttle plate when car is off. ive pressed mine over and over and nothing happened. there is no way gas should be coming out.

Re: Did I flood my engine?
I smelled my families vehicles and they all smell the same. I was told that it's called blowby and is normal.
I know, it makes no sense because it's not really the gas pedal but the air pedal.

Re: Did I flood my engine?
Alright, false alarm. Tested my fuel system and got normal readings. Turns out my throttle cable was being overly pinched meaning that I couldn't add proper slack to it, therefore I had to press the throttle really low for power. I unpinched it at the firewall so it's more free-moving, readjusted slack, and now it's all normal.
