My neons were installed before my kit went on. I mounted the front and rear tubes on the actual metal bumpers behind the plastic covers, then cut the bumper covers in order to let the light shine to the ground. The sides were mounted behind that little metal lip that your side skirts would normally mount to.

Thing is my car was slammed (no kit yet) before I put the neons on, so you'd have had to lie down on the ground to see the tube anyway. But if you were stock height with no kit, they'd be easily seen. I just laughed and pointed at some kid in a Grand Am who drove by me with his tubes fully exposed.

I don't have a body kit on my car, however.. the little lip underneath on the sides IS big enough to hide your tubes if you have them positioned right. I have the Optyx LED color changing underbodies.. and every encounter I've had with street glow underbody neon/leds, the tubes have been all the same size. But my shop only carries street glow, so I really don't have any exposure to any other manufacturers other than Street Glow. But I would think they'd mostly all be the same.

Nothing at all.. stock height, no side skirts, no body kits, no nothing. I'm too poor for that kind of stuff lol

Hey you know we all go throw a rice stage at least once in our life.. I guess IMO underbody neons are just an added touch.. sort of like the lambo doors, man I want those..

haha Very true..
after the kit and everything though.. definitely lambo doors.. although the half lambo doors/half delorean doors on the ferrari enzos are pretty sweet.. someone should fabricate a kit for our cars so our doors do that. ha
and yes blckpwdr, ricergribbs established that's what he wanted to do in the very first post.
