cigarette lighter issues

The yellow wire came off the connector. The end pieces of that wire are still stuck inside the connector. I tried to force it in, to no avail. Is there a way to take out the broken wires off from the connector? It seems the wire is about 18-20 gauge. I've been trying to get it back to work but now the black wire broke off too. Any suggestions? Thank you!

The pins in the connector should have a locking tab that you need to push in or out to release the pins. Once out they will need to be crimped again. If you don't have a set of crimpers for that type of pin or a new pin you can crimp new spade style connectors on the wires (if you have the correct spade terminal) to fit the back of the 12v outlet.
