I know it says Blackening, but read my post!
When you get to the step where you seperate the headlight into two bits, just remove the amber plastic thing as opposed to sanding the chrome and painting. But follow his re-assembly instructions to a T! (i.e.: the silicone bit)
There was an actual DIY dedicated to actually clearing (as opposed to blackening) but I can't find it right now

I can't find the thread, but there used to be a clearing DIY. It's the same as blacking them out but you don't sand them or paint them. If you want pics, just search through member's rides, thousands have done this.
Re: headlights... has anyone tried this??
I did it. I put the lights in my oven at like the lowest setting for a few mins and it popped right apart. You have to go really slow. The black sealant gets stringy and can get on the chrome. If it does, your fukked, hehe. keep paper towels or something to take up excess glue that may droop onto the light as a precaution. Dont touch inside the light housing with your fingers either! I used a small screw driver to pop out the orange reflector, its only held in by tabs on my 02 lights. If you do it right the glue seals itself back up. In 3 years I havent gotten any moisture in the housing. Its illegal but it sure looks sick.

Its a DC5 R copy. Its made by Transform Spoilers. They did a GB back when the site was still 7thgen. The car looks a lil funky with those DRs up front but it gets the job done.
Re: headlights... has anyone tried this??
whenh you do clear your headlights, is our stock bulb amber or do we have to go buy amber bulbs for the corner bulbs so it is amber....confused about this part help me out
Re: headlights... has anyone tried this??
I painted my headlights black and busted the amber in the process. But I wanted to keep them so I had to use some of the silicone to put it back in....they're easy to get out if you have no intentions of putting them back in at any point. And I can confirm that the 2004-2005 turn signal bulbs are orange because mine are. I think the black/orange combination is sexier than the chrome/no orange combination.
Re: headlights... has anyone tried this??

I used a heat gun,, but if your really low on funds,, some people use a blow dry,, and if your using silcone, what i did was i seal it than let it dry for a day, than i seal it agian with silcone let it dry than for another day, than put it on ,,,
