i am selling the kit cause me and nathan are building custom kits, and the only thing that i was going to use from the sf kit was the ic and pipes.....but i might as well sell the kit as a whole, cause i can get more money for it....i have been talkin to sam about it, and 2 others here on the site have made some good offers, but you know what the sayin is....SHOW ME THE MONEY....hahahah....well, my rotas will be here friday, and my revo ss and skunk2 shiftknob will be here thursday...as soon as someone purchases my kit, i am getting a precision sc50 turbo, wastegate, intercooler, VIS cf oem hood and cf trunk....selling the oem hood that i have this weekend...cause it isnt as good quality as VIS....i want it to be perfect....

that is my update

I'm glad you decided to go with the oem hood instead of the invader. Especially if you're going with an oem body kit. Good luck on the sale.

That's cool man. If there's any way possible, try to get a full 3" downpipe. At that point, you will have a true 3" system. And you're gains when you run at the track on higher boost will be significant.

So does this mean that you aren't doing the swap yourself? You can hit me up with a bill of the insurance money and I'm down to help get it done and done right

You do realize that even with the swap you still aren't going to be as fast, right? I think it's alot of time and effort for a k20 swap. But if that's what you want to do, go for it. Just be realistic about it. You won't be that quick.

Not quite. There is no way that you will make that kind of power on a stock motor. And there is no way that you can spend 8g on a swap, turbo and full motor build for a k20. Try 15-20 total.

nope $8Grand....a guy in my club called them the other day to comfirm it b/c he's thinking about getting that....they said they might have his car for like couple months though...I think it was b/t $8 - $10Grand....and a 95 civic has this setup and it dynoed at 612whp and he only paid $8000 or so for it....no more than $10,000....I'll give u more info on it when I get some....no BS....seriously

^^ Who's shop?

Andy- I'm not in it for the quickness. I just want the swap in the vic. Always wanted a swaped vic. Its probably going to be all motor. The swap alone will put me into the low 14's. Just like a b18c1 does to a earlier gen vic. I also want the 5-lugs interior, etc.

whats the weight difference b/t our cars and the DC5...DC5 run low 15's stock WITH a good driver....I thought about doing a DC5 swap later after this experiment and doing some serious N/A mods then again it might get BOOSTED depends on how much I like my setup now boosted ....I'll get more info the shop and let u guys know

Green-Don't count on low 14's with a stock motor, won't happen. We aren't that much lighter than an rsx.

Jet-It may be 8-10g for the turbo setup and the motor build. But I guarantee you that it doesn't include the swap itself. It's just not reallistic. Any shop (and I don't care who they are) is going to charge you a minimum of 5g for a type s swap into a 7th gen. Plain and simple. Even if they could find a swap for 3500, they aren't going to swap it for free. Figure a minimum of 5g.

And for a motor build, you have lots of things to do. Pistons, fuel, rings, engine management, rods, sleeves, tranny buildup with clutch, lsd, etc. The list goes on. For an engine to handle 25 psi of boost, you're looking at a minimum of 4 grand in parts alone. Let's not forget labor, also. So a build on a motor and tranny is going to be no less than 5g.

That leaves the turbo setup itself. 2500 minimum. Again, they won't be installing it for free. Let's say 3500.

Let's not forget about tuning. Time on a dyno to tune a setup like that will run you a minimum of 500 in dyno time to tune it properly.

So with a very stingy estimate, that puts you at 14k alone. I'm telling you, man, don't believe everything that you hear. If you are talking about a cybernations kit, I have seen them. That is strictly a motor build and turbo setup to put down those kinds of numbers on a type s and that setup is around 13k alone. This doesn't include a motor or tranny. That's turbo setup and motor build. You can check out cybernations website for more info on the different stage setups that they offer.

i have seen factory rsx-s run low to mid 14s with just bolt ones...no fi or sc...and minor bolt ons at that....a study what done when they first came out about a certian intake and exhaust combo that gave the type s 25 hps to the wheels....with a mildly modded type s, you will be bad @$$....but if you want to be really bad, just boost your car...but the type s will be more reliable....but cost more...

just a quick question, how much would it cost for me to get a type-s motor swapped into my auto sedan, w/ a tranny swap too?

and how hard would it be to get a jdm ferio rs engine and what are the specs on those?

I know sonic boom did a k20 swap for around 6k. I wouldnt recommend them though.

Andy- Like I said before, I'm not worried about being quicker. Just a sleeper in the 14's would be great.

If anyone is looking into getting rsx leather for their car, check this thread out:

The reason of selling these seats is because he is going all type-r interior. Lives a few minutes from me.

roads are not that bad. I've had my 18s for over a year now wrapped in 215/40s and I have not had a single problem. There are a few spots that are bad, but not even close to New Orleans. Every time ive been to New Orleans ive hit something, but luckily i did not do any damage to them.

Picking up Wes' kit? Good stuff man, you'll definitely enjoy it. We're going to be doing Jet's install when he gets it, you can call me if you want some help, I'm having mechanic withdrawals, lol. My number is 337-304-2128. That may be changing to a 318 very soon though so if you want help, hit me up soon.

Andyman, thanks for your offer and ill probably take u up on it. Im not buying wes's kit cuz he back out on me. lol. im buying another members kit. i have to order an ex downpipe from SF so i dont know when i will get that. They told me 1 week wait. I also need to order boost controller and turbo timer.

Anyone heard of 'MF2" fuel system. Thats the fuel system its coming with and the guy told me it should be tuned by a shop or I will probably be running lean until it gets tuned.
