It wasn't anything major. If the engine isn't affected, it's nothing in my book, just minor bs. Haven't started building the spare yet, it's in storage. I haven't been back for 3 weeks yet and I haven't decided where I'm going to live permanently yet, either.

As far as the missing link:

When you build boost, it's giong into your intake manifold. These cars were not designed to run any positive pressure (boost) at all. You have a MAP (manifold air pressure) sensor on you intake manifold. If that sensor reads positive vacuum (boost), it tells the ecu to go into limp or safe mode. When that happens, you can't rev over 3400 rpms and the car runs like ****. The purpose of a check valve is to let out that positive vacuum pressure (boost) so that the ecu doesn't see it and your car continues to run correctly. SF sends out a check valve with their kit, which I used until I got oil blow by on it and it ruined it. Since then, I've been running GM one way check vavles (3 total), with vacuum t's and it costed me altogether about 15 bucks. As far as the car running better with the missing link, I don't buy it. Either your map sees boost or it doesn't. I don't see the point of spending 60 bucks on something you can put together yourself for 15 but hey, that's just me.

Good luck with the move. So the valve is a bypass for boost. Correct? SO the computer wont see a vaccum. Thats a cheap, but effective way of boosting, I guess.

hey I think I'm about to start getting some practice in at the track before my turbo kit arrives...I've never ran my car at the track...my car feels good...I launch around 2500-3000 rpm with no wheel spin but thats on 18's though...Im going to put my stock wheels back on and probably go out there on Friday...what kind of times should I set as my goal...I doubt I reach them considering this will be my first running my car at the track....last friday was my first time EVER even going to the track....so this should be an experience....
