jet, you wont run 13's on the street, especially with those rims....or on a daily driven 5-8 lbs.... you will be quick, but not 13's quick...you will have to learn how to drive it too....not sayin you dont know how to drive a boosted car, but just in case you dont.....13's is doable with drag radials or slicks and with 9-11lbs on our motor....no more, or kaboom....this turbo makes our car quick, but if you want to be really fast, do it right, build that motor, like me, andy, and green are planning on doing....if you have the funds(which it looks like you do) then get you some pistons, rods, etc. and make it where you can handle more boost....i am freakin addicted, and i know that you will be too....
I can't be addicted until i get a ride in your car...yeah I plan on building up my motor...i wanna take it to its max/full potential then do a swap but I got a two year plan on what I'm doing now. but didn't cat run 13's on stock wheels and that other guy ran a 13.7 on 19 INCH WHEELS...okay if I don't run 13's at least high 13's or low 14's...I don't care what i run daily but I don't wanna lose when I turn the boost up....I got a feeling I'm going to blow my motor. I just need some direction and a guinea pig...my goal is to get into 13's once I break 13's, I want 12's...so I have goals just taking steps ya know. But yeah the main thing is learning how to drive it. Hopefully i won't do much damage while trial and error...my friend has a '03 Mustang GT manual...I told him I got something for him...long as I can buss his *** all day long...good...I wanna be some quality V8's though...so whats next on the list to do wes?
If you want to get great times on low boost, your going to have to learn you car over again. If you still have your firestones, use those first when you put on your kit. You'll learn when the tires begin to slip, when you can launch, etc. After you learn from there, you'll graduate to run better tires and better runs on the track. Because you found the limits of your car and will have learned how to "control" it.
Jet- What do you have so far for the turbo? Have got/thought about a turbo timer? What about gauges? For 5-8 psi people were running mid to low 14's.

yeah....you will be able to eat a mustang gt for lunch....but he will get you on top end......you will make him like it....12's are doable, but only with a built motor....catalyst did run a 13.6 on factory rims, but i am not sure if i believe the factory tire story.....futurersxswap didnt do the 13.7 on his 19's...those are his daily driven tires and rims.....he is a good friend of mine, and told me that he did it on15in drag radials....it is doable with street tires, but not on big heavy rims....if they are light, then yeah...i want to get times with my factory rims and tires, my 17s, and some slicks.....
Andy- What is the msd going to do? I'm not too familar with that product. Why are you getting a msd and taking off alcohol injection?
Wes- How heavy are your 17's? I think I'll be going to the import show in shreveport. Maybe we can get a meetup spot and all ride in together. I'll see if I can get some people to come with me.

You need to look at the specs of the turbo. If you find the specs, it will tell you to how much boost the turbo can safely be put at. No, sorry jet, I'm not boosted. I want to build up my motor and then slap a turbo on it. I'm poor compared to all you other people. All top end is is how your gearing is set and the amount of horsepower from the engine. Do you mean acceleration? Like 0-60 times?
Who is all going to the show? I think my dad will also be going with me. Since it is on a sunday, we will be staying the night saturday and driving home sunday. I think I have school monday. I'll have to look at my school schedule.

i think you are gonna notice alot more pull in all of your gears Jet.. I've ridin in Wes's car and it will put you in the back of your seat in almost every gear! its nice! you wont be sorry you bought it

DAMN THROW U BACK IN A D17...WHO WOULD HAVE EVER THOUGHT OF THAT HAPPENING...damn I need to ride in this dude's car...hey wes, is third still the strongest gear?
oh yeah I ordered this today...My Clutch ...so left I need is some spark plugs and 2 more autometer guages...boost guage and EGT guage...I got oil pressure guage already...anybody know where I can find some autometer guages...I like them cuz they light up red and matches everything else that lights up red in my car.
