I honestly don't think that wes can get a cool enough intake charge to take me by sheer hp. I have an sf setup but I run a water to air intercooler instead of a front mount. My water pump for the tank moves 1250 gallons of water per hour. Considering the tank is only about 1.5 gallons, I keep a pretty cool intake charge. As far as times, I haven't ran it yet. Below sea level in LA with some drag radials on 10 psi, I'm gunning for mid-low 13's but we'll see what happens. First thing is first, I need to put in a new clutch. That will be the first thing I do once I get back so I'll probably be putting it in next week sometime.

I have an upgraded 60 trim compressor wheel in a bored t3 housing. Alcohol injection (which I won't be using for long once I pick up an msd), and a/w intercooler. As far as engine mods, none. I'll be picking up cp pistons, eagle rods, return fuel and an aem ems when it comes out (if it comes out). Yeah, this car will be a 10 second car before I'm done with it but it's a work in progress. I have a spare motor that I'm bringing back with me so that I can build it as I go.

jet, you wont run 13's on the street, especially with those rims....or on a daily driven 5-8 lbs.... you will be quick, but not 13's quick...you will have to learn how to drive it too....not sayin you dont know how to drive a boosted car, but just in case you dont.....13's is doable with drag radials or slicks and with 9-11lbs on our motor....no more, or kaboom....this turbo makes our car quick, but if you want to be really fast, do it right, build that motor, like me, andy, and green are planning on doing....if you have the funds(which it looks like you do) then get you some pistons, rods, etc. and make it where you can handle more boost....i am freakin addicted, and i know that you will be too....

I can't be addicted until i get a ride in your car...yeah I plan on building up my motor...i wanna take it to its max/full potential then do a swap but I got a two year plan on what I'm doing now. but didn't cat run 13's on stock wheels and that other guy ran a 13.7 on 19 INCH WHEELS...okay if I don't run 13's at least high 13's or low 14's...I don't care what i run daily but I don't wanna lose when I turn the boost up....I got a feeling I'm going to blow my motor. I just need some direction and a guinea pig...my goal is to get into 13's once I break 13's, I want 12's...so I have goals just taking steps ya know. But yeah the main thing is learning how to drive it. Hopefully i won't do much damage while trial and error...my friend has a '03 Mustang GT manual...I told him I got something for him...long as I can buss his *** all day long...good...I wanna be some quality V8's though...so whats next on the list to do wes?

If you want to get great times on low boost, your going to have to learn you car over again. If you still have your firestones, use those first when you put on your kit. You'll learn when the tires begin to slip, when you can launch, etc. After you learn from there, you'll graduate to run better tires and better runs on the track. Because you found the limits of your car and will have learned how to "control" it.

Jet- What do you have so far for the turbo? Have got/thought about a turbo timer? What about gauges? For 5-8 psi people were running mid to low 14's.

Wes- Have fun skiing. Dont break anything. I'd hate to hear you cant drive your car for x days because you broke something.

yeah....you will be able to eat a mustang gt for lunch....but he will get you on top end......you will make him like it....12's are doable, but only with a built motor....catalyst did run a 13.6 on factory rims, but i am not sure if i believe the factory tire story.....futurersxswap didnt do the 13.7 on his 19's...those are his daily driven tires and rims.....he is a good friend of mine, and told me that he did it on15in drag radials....it is doable with street tires, but not on big heavy rims....if they are light, then yeah...i want to get times with my factory rims and tires, my 17s, and some slicks.....

Andy- What is the msd going to do? I'm not too familar with that product. Why are you getting a msd and taking off alcohol injection?

Wes- How heavy are your 17's? I think I'll be going to the import show in shreveport. Maybe we can get a meetup spot and all ride in together. I'll see if I can get some people to come with me.

well I got the SF turbo kit with upgraded turbo, equal length mani, and alcohol injection...I've so far ordered Greddy Profec B Spec 2 Electronic Boost Controller, I'm trying to decide on which cluth setup to go with but I'll be ordering that this week and yeah I think I'll be getting either a apexi or greddy turbo timer...I've got a oil pressure guage already and next I'm getting the EGT and boost guage. but yeah wes I'll be on my stockies with bf goodrich tires when I go to the track but I also wanna see what I can get on my 18's too...I know its gonna be a learning process all over again...haha I live in the country and I have alot of open room/roads to practice on...okay so whats the max boost I can run at the track? I think I'll run 6-7psi on daily basis but I got me a beater I drive during the week so I try not to drive my car during the week, just weekends or when its just BEAUTIFUL outside... oh yeah wes, my order has been sent over to SF so keeping the fingers crossed and we'll see...3-4 WEEKS

i think the promoters of the show are trippin...not willing to work wit us...far as I'm going... but hey u'll see some of us there though, a couple cars may enter but not all of us as a CLUB...We have our eyes set on the show in dallas in april...NOW THATS BIG!! We hope to bring at least 25 cars to that show.

You need to look at the specs of the turbo. If you find the specs, it will tell you to how much boost the turbo can safely be put at. No, sorry jet, I'm not boosted. I want to build up my motor and then slap a turbo on it. I'm poor compared to all you other people. All top end is is how your gearing is set and the amount of horsepower from the engine. Do you mean acceleration? Like 0-60 times?

Who is all going to the show? I think my dad will also be going with me. Since it is on a sunday, we will be staying the night saturday and driving home sunday. I think I have school monday. I'll have to look at my school schedule.

yeah we're talking bout the same show...everybody's "supposed" to be getting ready for that...it'll be good to have my turbo for that show...my car is in the paint shop right now. but yeah we're "supposed" be having most of all the cars from our louisiana chapter which is like 20 something so bout 10-12 or MORE louisiana kutsuju cars and some new mexico and arizona chapter members are "supposed" to be coming so we can have a BIG showing...tryin to get at least 20-25 kutsuju cars there and hopefully get best crew award...I think they (i wasn't in it last year) won best crew last year either at this show or at HIN.

oh yeah I ordered this today...My Clutch ...so left I need is some spark plugs and 2 more autometer guages...boost guage and EGT guage...I got oil pressure guage already...anybody know where I can find some autometer guages...I like them cuz they light up red and matches everything else that lights up red in my car.
