Hey wes, sorry I gave you some bunk **** man, but I got my gauges in and they're sweet. They match my dash lights almost perfect. I'd be up for a meet whenever. Spring semester doesn't start until January 21st so anytime between now and then would be good. Or we can all cruise somewhere for spring break. That would be tight.

Yeah, right...I'm sure the wife would go for that, lol. Seriously tho, we could go ski or board if you guys want to. Lemme know and I'll look into it if ur serious. The drive here really isn't too bad, it isn't terribly long and it's all interstate and 4 lane highway for the most part. Denver is nothing like Baton Rouge, it's huge and fun. There are a few guys up here that we may be getting a meet together sometime soon....

It isn't a hop skip and a jump, lol. Nah, typically, it takes me about 16 1/2 hrs one way from colorado springs to lake charles. You guys prolly wouldn't be driving into denver, that's another 1 1/2 hrs from where I am.

Ok, after a loooooooong weekend of Christmas shopping, I am officially one broke *** mothaf*ka.
I'd love to go on a ski trip, but not for a few months. The snow might be gone by the time I have the money.

i'm one broke *** dude too. my rims came in and i ordered my tires. yokohama parda spec 2's. 215/40-18's. i priced matched at sears so i could aviod paying shipping, the only problem is that it'll be 3 weeks beffore they get em cuz its the holidays and blah blah blah. now i'm trying to scavenge 300 bucks for the nuespeed race springs and SPC camber kit.

i need opinions...when all that is done what should i do?

sup guys, been away for a bit...just gettin stuff together to knockout my finals and all and busy at work. Denver eh...wow i hate the cold, i hate MS cold and thats nothin to Denver cold...lol.I KNOW i couldnt get awya from work to do a trip like that...i can inquire but its very doubtful.

Ive just been low key lately guys, had military stuff i needed to do and i have a hotel room in new orleans for new years as well. will be INSANE! nothin been done to the car....just been to busy...nuts isnt it lol. Glad to know everything is still kicken here though.

Damn, Greg, why are you spending 300 on springs. Gold Lines only run 130 shipped from tornactive. Do what you wanna do, tho, man. As far as coming to LA for X-mas, not gonna happen. I have to stay. We are going to the in-laws for X-mas as much as I don't want to, that was the compromise for me to get home for the Thanksgiving meet, so.....

hey guys been kinda crazy over here at work!!! these people dont know when to stop running us. i think im going to get my springs the first of the year when i get in from the boat that trip. do yall think i need a camber kit for it? or should i drop it then see if i need it? im only wanting to go about 1.5 " with it no lower than that. all help is greatly needed thanks!!!!!!!!

Check out the suspension thread...there is all the info you could want to know in there. But, yeah, if you lower it below factory height, your rear camber is not going to be adjustable, so I would at least get an SPC rear kit.

Yeah, Jody, I talked to Greg after I posted that. He told me that it was for springs and cambers.

If you're only goin 1.5" lower, then you might not need a camber kit. Sure, you'll have a bit more negative camber than before, and it's always good to have everything perfect, but you won't absolutely have to have it unless you have really low profile tires. With low profile tires, you run higher pressure (40-45psi). This makes the tire stiffer so the slightest change in camber will result in the tire not making full contact with the road, and it will wear uneven.....but if you have a higher profile tire, the pressure is lower (32-38psi), and even if the camber is off a little, the tread will still make contact with the road and you won't have any tire wear. I had my car dropped 3 inches with my factory rims and tires on for about 7 or 8 months. My camber was horrible, but my tires never wore uneven. Then I put some 40 series tires on for a trip to Orlando and they wore so much that I had to rotate them in the hotel parking lot before I made the trip back. [IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]

Cliffnotes: If you have the extra $120, get a camber kit. If not, no big deal.

you won't have a camber problem but i would suggest a rear camber to be on the safe side.

yea i'll have my rims, lowered, and interior kinda done so i'td be tight to have a 7thgen set up.
