okay, remember when i said something to you guys bout a turbo. well, i am takin it in for measurements next week. talk to him tonight and said that header and stuff is the only thing that he cant make. has a company out of cali do it. cost somewhere around 350-500 for it. get turbo off of 94-98 mitsu eclipse gs-x(which ever one came with it) forgot the exact freakin letters. damn imports cant have real names, they have to have letters and numbers. anyway, it will be intercooled, hes got that stuff at his shop. flanges and everthing else he can do. he said that all he has to do is get measurements and then when we find a turbo we will go ahead and have header made and then it is all over with but the cryin. so wish me luck guys. have to take on second job to pay for it. car is at 31,000 miles and warranty runs out at 36,000 so that give me plenty time to get everything together. oh yeah i asked him bout how much boost think would be best for car. he said with no internal work done to the car yet(since there is nothing on the market) we will start out at 4-6 and if the works move closer to 8 pounds.

Welcome to the thread Cajun, good to have another local here. I'm 2k1bling on sni.com but I don't post much. I'd love to make a trip to N.O. this saturday, but I'm afraid I don't have the time nor the money. Plus...the road between Baton Rouge and N.O. would tear the bottom off my car!!! That road sux my left nut!! If you guys ever want to meet up in Baton Rouge, let me know because I make that drive about once a week. Me and about 7 of my friends went to the mall in B.R. this past saturday. We saw a Nissan 350z!!! Man that ting was saweet!! I only saw one 7th gen, and it was silver (just like mine), but it was stock. I pulled up next to that guy and him and his buddy were checkin out my ride. Anyway, next time you guys make a trip to B.R. let me know.

www.turbo-performance.com has a kit but it is too expensive. i am going to get the nickle plated header from them but i am using a used turbo that i am getting from the shop that is doing the work. i talked to him today, and he is doing some research tryin to find some pre bent piping for the intercooler and al lthat good stuff.

I wish I had the money for turbo.....but I just spent it on rims, tail lights, alarm, rear bumper, trunk lid, and paint!!! Don't wreck your car, it's expensive!![IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG] Is anyone comin to lafayette for the show on sunday? There's supposed to be a car show at Cajun Field this sunday. I'll probalby put my car in there. It's not a big show, but it's fun to compete with all your friends. Let me know if you guys plan on comin down, or maybe you'll just so happen to be in town.
On a side note....I was thinking about tinting my side mirrors blue. Kinda like the BMWs...ya know? I just wanna see what it would look like, but the lightest tint I could find was 35%....which was way too dark. I need like a 60% or lighter. Does anyone know where I can find that sort of thing? Or maybe I can dip em in whatever BMW dips them in.....I know that they dip them in some sort of blue coating, but I have no idea what kind. I know blue mirrors won't make my car faster, but I'm not goin for speed. I'm goin for the clean look. Oh yeah, and I put some LEDs behind my mirrors on each side....hooked em up to the blinkers....and voila!! I got blinkin side mirrors!! LOL Hey, what can I say? I got bored one day! It doesn't look hella tight, but it's ok. I think I'm gonna replace the LEDs with a small blue neon, that way everything behind the mirror will light up. Anyway, guess I better get back to work. I think this is the longest post I've done in a while. Can you tell I'm bored? haha

I have a custom turbo kit. I don't know if you have read any of my posts in general rambling. I to have bought parts from turbo performance and the best set up for most horsepower is not the eclipse turbo t25 or t28. They say to use that turbo because it spools faster but, I have been running a T3 turbo which has a little more than we need. It is a happy medium turbo for our car. If you use the mitsu turbo the air will be to hot and you wont get the results you want even with a intercooler. My intercooler is 18 x 12 x 3.5 and it is perfect. I am running 7 pounds of boost and a 25 shot of nitrous for low spools and you know if I am loosing. I have a car club called Team Se7eN and they know I have it. I will be in Hot Import Nights here in Orlando Florida and there will be pics of my car up soon after. If you have any questions then just let me know. I will be glad to answer them for you.

I had a T3/T4 hybrid turbo and now I have the T3

T3/T4 spooled up at 3500-4200 RPM
T3 spooled up at 2800-3200 RPM
there is a big difference
I use the nitrous from 1000 to 3000

I have my head of now, because I am getting it port and polished so the intake and exhaust port match up.

I ran 14.4 in the 1/4 with no turbo and a 75 shot
I hope to now run a 13.8 w/turbo and 25 shot for low spool

I sat down on speaker phone with damon and bob from TP and me and my buddy who owns a speed shop, and we disscussed the best possible set up. I asked them why they sold me the T3/T4 if it wasn't the best and he said in case in the future you get internals it can put out up to 22 pounds of boost. I was pissed, but now we figured out the best set up.

So the fastest you've run is 14.3 with ONLY nitrous? That's pretty damn quick. My cousin has a 02 Mustang GT with gears, intake, and exhaust and he ran a 14.2. That would be so sweet if you'd break into the 13s. And just think.....22psi?! Damn, I bet you can't wait to rebuild that engine and crank up the boost.
