Windshield Spray Nozzle Cleaning

'95 Civic EX Coupe-de-Dong.

Presently only one (out of four) of the spray nozzles are working on me ride. On one of my past Civic's I tried using a sewing needle and cleaning out the nozzles but that just made things worse. Best way to clean nozzles? Possibly the pump is weak or needs cleaning?

That would most likely work. I found this video that may work too:

Many years ago I owned a BMW 528E (straight 6 cylinder) and it's one of my favorites. Overall not a fan of BMW though when it comes to repairs.

Re: Windshield Spray Nozzle Cleaning

Needle or pin can be too fat.

I frequently use "tag wire" to poke them out, maybe bread tie wire is fine enough to do it too.

I also use wire size, and/or jet drill bits

follow up with a shot of air from a blowgun in both directions

Thanks Ezone. I have a spool of wire that's very close to tag-wire size.. will give it a go and report back.

Re: Windshield Spray Nozzle Cleaning

Removed nozzles from hood, blew 100 psi compressed air through them in both direction, re-installed and now working well. Thanks for all the replies.
