I own a manual!!! LOVE THEM !!!!!!! I only drove my mom's auto for a bit and it was ok I guess, nothing to do other then watch the road.. not as fun when you can downshift and gun it to pass someone up ..

TMQ 02-16-2004 03:03 PM

Auto. have you seen the traffic outside? commute in Seattle was very annoying (i had 5sp 3rd gen accord).

ShAdOw04 02-16-2004 08:48 PM

I have an auto, hate it, but gotta live with it, so i just drive it like it is a manual ... no that dosen't sound stupid....

pheaton 02-18-2004 08:15 AM

Manual. . I had and Auto and was bored, didn't feel like I had as much control, and I like the instant shifting ability without having to wait for the car to figure out what you are trying to do.

Of course I'm not going to say for a second I wouldn't be all over a Tiptronic auto.

rokenrolcivic 02-18-2004 03:47 PM

The way I look at it is civic arent fast so why not atleast make em fun to drive and get a stick, I didnt even know how to drive stick when I bought my car but I thought am I gonna be a ***** the rest of my life and get an auto or be a man and learn how to "actually drive"

I dont think I will ever go back to auto untill I get really old or grow a vagina!

The way I see it is that civics are slow so why waste your time driving a stick civ.Get a manual with more potential....or just look good going slow in your civic.

scorpion232 02-25-2004 04:39 PM

stick is usually slang for manual :_doh:

ViNRoCk8 02-28-2004 01:37 PM

gotta drive a manual

big_daddy_b_99 03-15-2004 09:15 AM

hey vinrock, think your funny don't you? you know it's pretty sad when another member on here thinks it's funny when someone says somethin that was obviously dumb at the time simply cause that's what their opinion was. next time you try to make other members feel dumb think about what you're doin before a member with a mod friend makes you look even worse by changin all of your stuff to make you look bad.

deciuss 03-16-2004 02:44 PM

dont remeber if i posted on this one but i got an auto and i love it

dml5551 03-16-2004 03:03 PM

civicstreetrcr 03-16-2004 03:04 PM

LC 03-16-2004 03:46 PM

I have a 2002 auto EX. I guess I don't mind it, but my next car is definitely going to be manual... For you guys that used to have auto's, but made the switch; how did you learn how to drive stick?

phuviano 03-16-2004 03:52 PM

Manual. I've driven auto since I was 16. I'm 24 now, and I finally got my own car in manual. I must say, I hate driving auto. Auto is so!! boring. Driving stick is fun, you have more control over the car.

WhiteCastle 03-16-2004 04:01 PM

MIT 04-01-2004 12:21 PM

anyone of u ever fuk up the flywheel when first time u drive stick?

R3DL1N3 04-01-2004 12:22 PM

ive been driving my moms auto matrix xr for 2 weeks now and i feel like killing myself because its so boring. not having a shift knob to play with while driving is making me go insane. i miss my manual.

Liro 04-01-2004 12:37 PM

ive driven manual like 10 times...its is fun...but its not so much fun in rush our traffic when you're tired, want to go to bed, and a little groggy....

next would be a manual though.....

i learned off and older car with someone that knew how...get the basics then try it on your own...

acidbaby 04-01-2004 04:04 PM

once you get used to it you will never want to go back

R33civic 04-01-2004 04:18 PM
