k. i was drivin home from a friends house and not speedin or anything. and my friend who hasnt had his liscence for a whole year was drivin someone under 25 (so its illegal) right behind me. and i was makin a left turn and probably goin 25-30 mph and all of a sudden i hear a siren. i look behind me and i see flashing lights. so i pull over and this douchebag cop tells me over the loudspeaker to get out of my car with my hands up. i was trippin and i got out and walked towards him, while he had his hand on his gun and he asked for my liscence and registration. it was a corolla personal car with a red light and siren on it.
then sat me on the curb and asked to search my car. i have nuthin illegal on it so i said sure so i didnt **** him off. but i forgot i had a pellet gun in there under sum clothes and he found it and freaked out. he was like if this fell out of ur car when i opened the door he woulda shot me.lol. he looked under my hood and everything passed. and he said he was gunna tow my car and take my liscense and get a speeding ticket!!! he said i was goin 65 IN A 35!!!!!! I WAS MAKIN A TURN WHEN HE PULLED ME OVER!!!!!! it pissed me off so bad. but then he found out he knew my dad (whos a cop) once he looked at my name on my liscence. i was so grateful .so he said he was gunna clear everything and i should learn from this.
i think he was just an *** who noticed my car cuz its lowered, spoiler, exaust and crap and wanted to be a dick and try to get me for sumthin. i mean who tells someone over the loudspeaker to get out with your hands up, for speeding???? and he pulls me over instead of my friend who looks 15 and has a friend in his car!! and he "confiscated" my pellet gun!!! he wasnt even on duty, he was on his way home from work. i dunno i wanteD to report his *** but i didnt want to go through all that crap. IM just glad nuthin hapened to me.

haha ya it was a real cop. i got one of his cards just in case. my dad said he could pull me over even though he was in his personal car, but he shoulda called someone on duty to handle it. and he said he was too agrressive with it too. i dunno i think i just think he caught me on a bad day or sumthin.

In my state of Vermont, you are not suppost to pull over for an un marked car, U are suppost to call the police and C about it. The with cops always on duty they are but the can only call in you speedding ect, and hell a Game Warden in his truck over here can pull u over and give u a ticket for speeding or Drunk Driving.

The cop could have been in a golf kart chasing you, it is still legal for him to pull you over, cite you for anything and confiscate anything he feels is necessary.

The man was just doing his job after he was off the clock. And the "they have to have a radar gun" myth is not true, they can match your speed and look at their speedo to make a guess or they can just watch you drive by and guess at your speed. Cops are smart, just like you can tell how fast you figure someone is going when they pass you on the freeway.

You gotta watch out for the Game Wardens aka DNR...in Indiana they hold more authority than State Troopers...but to get pulled over by a Corolla sucks especially an off duty officer...maybe his wife had him sleeping on the couch and he wanted to pass the pissy mood on to someone else...good luck with the pellet gun...

i would have asked for his badge number name and proof of how fast i was going. then i would have calmly drove away and called the cheif in the morning. if that didnt work id write a letter to the city council or someone who would give a damn higher up. but thats just me, in my book that was unnessecary force and pretty much bull **** too

a cop is always on duty unless your doing something really wrong then they will not bother you. Most cops personal cars dont have lights and sirens, they have traffic cops out in alot of areas that drive evryday cars, dressed in plain clothes as well, all they do is write traffic tickets.

your car being modded will grab cops attentions as is. sounds like he paced you going 65 in a 35 and just didnt pull you over till the turn. do rember thats reckeless drving since it is 30 mph over the limit and they can suspend your liscene for that

I'll give you the benefit that you're only 18 and haven't yet learned it's quite embarassing to think you have all the answers until someone older and wiser comes along. I learned this the hard way many times especially when it comes to cars. But living in the USA (doesn't work here in Canada) there is a citizen's arrest and any (yes, ANY) person has the write to physically detain you until the law arrives if they believe you are party to a reasonable crime.

once you get older you will relize a cop is always on call and even after work they can still give tickets, arrest you or any thing else that cops do. most cops dont care after they get off but you should really learn the facts before talking

I tried to outrun a cop once, did it in my old Audi A4 smoked the cop but could not get away from the chopper did 2 months in jail for that ****.

It's just not worth the risk much better to just pay the ticket.

i was racing wit a dodge neon(Not SRT-4) doin 70mph-115mph on the highway cuz he was all on my tail and ****.. By the time i saw the black cop car, it was too late to slow down.. i hitted the break, no use at all, only got me down to 80mph..so i let go the gas padel and see which one of us he wants to pull over. he end it up pull over the neon. so i speeded and took the next exit, cut through the street, got home safety. yup yup. one more thing. i smoked that ugly neon.
