Improve MPG on 2001 LX
I got a 2001 LX and the MPG is horrible. like 2/3 of my 2002 corolla. Is there anything like replacing sparks,... can help improve is? Based on experience it, what might be wrong with the car?

What tires do have? Tire pressure? What kind of driving do you do?

What kind of driving are you doing?

Tire pressure is 35.

Kind of tire?! hmm

Driving is mostly city.

City driving kills MPG. So what is your MPG?

Tires can make a difference. Compare what is on your Corolla to the Civic's. Is it a low rolling resistance tire?

Try a good clean and dry mid to high octane gas(89-92).

Start with thread named "forgotten tune-up mods".
Get maintenance up to par. Then get into driving habits.
Then weight reduction.
