it if is 1000, then i makes sense that the car doesnt idle correctly with the bigger injectors, and dies when you try to go.
With the AC on, there is more air getting sucked into the engine. So maybe it is just running that rich to where it wont die with that extra fuel.
Just a thought.

get J&S safeguard, and get it tuned again. Please let me know what good a/f is for the whole range. So, how do you like Turbo Discount so far?
Looking at your dyno, it is time for you to get a bigger exhaust. make that flatline an incline.

I've heard that these guys told someone they would be able to run 6 lbs with no fuel mods whatsoever
If that's what they think, I seriously doubt that they know much about developing a high powered turbo setup.

Ok - what's the deal with the kit? Reading through the posts it seems as if you had the extreme kit, had problems with it. THAN removed the TD fuel kit, added bigger injectors and VFAC. Still did not get things to work right or what?
I find it rather disturbing the amount of people here giving up on kits - most just require a proper fuel setup and tuning. TD's fuel setup appears similar to ERL's FM2 extra injector controller - I don't see why it doesn't work. SF's fuel setup requires no tuning, since it just adjusts itself based on boost (although some question how long the injectors will last at the higher PSI). Max-rev uses the FM2, which for purposes of less than 13 PSI of boost is said to work well (you can dial in fuel curves for the extra injector at 1000 RPM intervals from 2k to 9k I believe).
On the other hand, I agree with the fact that the kits should work as stated. Its really frustrating when I keep reading about how the turbo kits out there are having problems, I wish that the companies releasing them did more R&D (which it is blatently obvious SFpower did).
This just makes me want to hold onto my hard earned cash for another year and see what developes - $hit, things can only get better with more time.

Well i was leaning more to TD because of the fuel setup but having a headache sucks and i think im going to go with the SF power kit... i will be getting mine in like 4 months...

look.... the SF kit works the same as an FMU on return line cars. Audi and Volvo have been using an FMU type fuel system for years. I have seen a stock audi turbo with 300,000 miles on the stock engine. That type of system works. We have a CRX with an FMU system on it with the stock injectors, he has 20,000 miles on it with the turbo @ 10 psi, and he car still runs.
the SF system does not put any load on the injectors that they cannot handle. The injectors have been the same in honda's for years, and they can hadle the pressure (literally)

Really? That sucks! So you tried tuning with their controller and it wouldn't tune properly? I wonder if the FM2 would work as a replacement (since the turbo doesn't spool up until after 2k rpms anyways, which is where the FM2 kicks in). The car should idle properly since you woudn't be touching the stock amount injected. Did you call them and see what they said? What do you plan on doing with the kit?
