It has arrived !!!
Bad news everyone. Finished the installing completely tonight. Took the car out for a spin. Heard something fall from the engine sounding like a hose clamp or bolt so, i head back to the shop. Find out a bolt that connects the compressor to the turbo has backed out and fell off. Now leaking air and oil from turbo. Called Brad but, it was too late tonight to talk to someone. He will be calling me back in the morning to see what we can work out. Everyone stay tuned for further info.

I WAS going to get this kit until I read this thread. I think I'm going to wait until they get their **** together and I see some dyno numbers from the EX. You pay thousands of dollars for something, you think the company would have done some R&D for the product before selling it.

How many bolts does your turbo have holding the compressor housing on? It is 4 right? Where is the oil leaking from? Out of the compressor? Because the compressor housing shouldnt be seeing any oil. If it did, then you would have a nice blue smoke cloud following you around all the time (happened to my friends eclipse).

Dont forget guys...he's installing it himself. As far as I know, he isn't a certified mechanic, exhaust specialist, etc.
I'm sure they recommend it to be installed by a professional (or atleast with some professional oversight besides phone calls).
Not bashing, just pointing that out.

He states that "a bolt that connects the compressor to the turbo has backed out and fell off". I have not assembled one of these turbo kits. Someone who knows might be able to answer these questions. Does "that bolt" come prefastened straight from Garrett? If not, does TD fasten that bolt? If not, then did n318z? I'll bet that "this bolt" was incorrectly torqued or might have needed some type of "lok-tite". The bottom line is someone dropped the ball. We should find out who, THEN point fingers.

I understand the "not bashing". I am not mechanically certified but the person who has been helping is. As far as the bolt I would say that Garrett and myself is the one who dropped the ball. Garrett should have tightened the bolt and I should have checked all bolts on the turbo unit itself before I installed it. Even though I really shouldn't have to check those bolts. I mean you buy a new car, you don't bring it home and check all the bolts do you.
