wow very clean swap, your gona love it trust me i know
I have a question for you i noticed that your keeping ac did you need to have custom lines made, or did you mostly use RSX lines or some civic lines? or maybe a combination of both. I am curently installing ac into my swap and was wondering how yours was set up.

everyone is loving this swap, including me. im on the nuts like a squirl wanting a crunch! hahaha. i hate the anticipation! its such a b!tch aint it!!?? when you finish that swap you should bring it to reno and rape the tracks out here or maybe ill stop by sac and check it out over there since the scene is way better. anyway i cant wait to see the finished product... hopefully you'll post some video's too! GL. the progress is looking great.
Very cool stuff you've got going on there! Not many of us decide to dump that kind of money and effort into our Civics. You'll certainly have somthing special when it's done. Sure hope it turns out really friggin fast & reliable.
Two thumbs up from me for doing the job completely, and not just half-assin' it. I am looking forward to seeing videos and completed pictures.

I'll post how they went about it and post some close up picks of the AC line.

The anticipation is killing me also. My Ford Aerostar is now acting up. The AC went out the day after dropping of the Civic at the shop. It needs freon and its the old style AC. It's now over heating and the tie rods were going out and getting worse. Mom and Dad were nice enough to let me use there car for now.
Thanks for the positve feedback everyone. I'll post some more pic on this Monday.

I think we used one off an SI, and then the one of the RSX and just extended it a little.
But all said and done this is all you see:

Man thanks for those pictures that helps alot, a pic is worth a thousand words.
I stopped by the shop today. They have the 3 inch Thrust RSx exhaust on. It bolts right up to the RSX cat...but the tip needs to be extended about 6 inches.
They have not completed the AC Lines or power steering yet. Thanks TransformedBG for the pics on the AC Lines.
Thanks everyone for support and I'll keep updating.

The car should be done sometime next week.

About the reflashing of the computer, is there an after market computer like Hondata that could bypass the flashing of the imobilizer?
Or is because California emmisions standards that you'll have to use same model ECU?
I don't know what would happen here in Florida if suddently they decided to stablish the smog laws.
Half the cars be out of the road faster than a $20 hoe panties on payday.
Any way cudos to you dude, I'm sure when is all done and tunned it will be a hell of Vic

Yes, because of California emmissions standards we have to use the same model ECU. Also reflashed or programable ECUs are not legal. You can reflash the imobilizer, just not the ECU.
Cali emmissions standards
and it's overkill. Our car can pass the sniffer and they can still fail us on the visual inspection. I hope Florida never gets like Cali. For a while if you bought a new vehicle you didn't have to worry about smog for about 4-5 years. Now officers here in Cali hear an aftermarket exhaust and they say that's probable cause to search under your hood. Many tuners have been getting popped this way here in Cali. You can take you car to a Ref and it passes, they will give you a sticker to place in your engine bay just incase a cop wants to look under the hood. Supermex, I really like the work you put into your ride. It looks awsome man!

Damn, I had no idea that cops actually care like that.
I would just get teh carb legal sticker off an old intake if I had a turbo.
I would also leave the old ecu in the car and just mount the new one some where else. Wouldnt be worth the pain of extending all the connections.
Also, I am sure if you talk to some tint shops or something then you can find other ways around it.
Of course this is just a plane for a movie I am making.

Nice swap and good luck i can't wait to see it done. You gotta post some numbers and a video. The cops in cali are crazy they even have guys who are mechanics that look at your cars and know what parts are illegal and what is not.
I really think you could get waway with mounting a new ecu in a different location and being clever with the wiring. IDK though just thinking out loud.
At least thats what I am thinking for my movie.

with a turbo and a swap i would get the hondata ecu and cover it behind the carpet. theyll never know and theres always a place to pass for inspection. nice swap so far. cant wait to see a clip or dyno or even more pix.
Man I stopped by the shop yesterday and the car look the same as last week. They didn't do much progress. Only thing I noticed is they wired up the emanage. I put some pressure on them to finish up the car because it looked like nothing was done for a whole week except the emanage. I talked to Henry today and he stopped by the auto wrecker to pick up some ac lines.
Those are some good ideas jackburton and tuner04civic. We are actually going to have the harness wired up to make the ECUs swap with ease. I just hope I remember to swap the K-Pro back to the 05 ECU before I go back to the street.
Thanks Guys, I hope to have more pics and good news next week.

actually here in cali, the cop will just make u pop your hood and if it doesn't look stock, they make you go to a ref... really gay, cause u gatta pay like 30 for them to check it out...
CA sux bawls. Here in western MD you only have to have the car inspected at time of purchase. Also absolutely no smog testing. Plus the cops are more worried about moving violations and whether or not ur running a front liscense plate.
