also the the post above andy maybe you just got lucky with your parts or what idk. becuase i read it in here all the time the motors running poorly with those parts but then again crower could have revised there parts so idk.
Its not the PARTS fault that the engines dont run up to par. Its the fact that nobody spends the money on research, proper engine management, and dyno tuning. D17 ECUs are very picky(part of the reason the cars are ULEV). You cant expect to drop in a nice lumpy cam on a suday morning, not tune it, and be all set to go cruising around by lunchtime. My friends and I have had nothing but good luck with Crower stuff. Thats because we all have hondata or aem standalones in our various cars and have taken the time to tune properly. You cant build a race car on a stock D17 ECU. Its ignorant to think so. I have a big *** turbo cam in my car and I have no drivability issues at all, whatsoever. Take everything into consideration before you blackball a company, pretty much every BIG set of SOHC rods requires block notching. A quick look at the motor upside down on an engine stand makes it very clear that there is almost zero room for extra stuff in there. IDK 212 whp on 5.5lbs of boost on a very conservative tune, yep Crower is horrible. hehe
