it fools the ecu (and map sensor) into thinking there's no boost. other wise bad things will happen like engine light, surging, and rough transition between boost.
gear, do you think we have to upgrade our auto tranny with the TCI auto upgrade or anything like that? besides the tranny cooler( which i have, but not install yet) would i need to upgrade the tranny or get a new KOYO radiator to better cool things down?
i just really want to do things right the first time. No matter how much it cost i'll do it slowly. i just want to get EVERYTHING to get things to run right before i even installl dezod new turbo when it comes out
you wont need the radiator, many people run higher boost with more insane set-ups on stock radiator and cooling system.
tranny cooler will help
tranny upgrade most likely will NOT be nescessar at all, again plenty of people run more boost without it, speak to member... " eye_see_you" about his setup and see what he recommends. if your only at like 5psi of boost you shouldnt need one.
however you might want to get some gauges, get a boost gauge, and a water temp gauge and oil pressure gauge, and i believe theyve got tranny temp gauges. pick out of those and get the a-pillar pod from dezod to install them easily.

the member "eye_see_you" actually rebuilt his auto tranny with the TCI kit and boosted a T25 turbo kit ( i think it was a TSI kit) for about a year and now is selling his car. eye_see_you ... please correct me if i'm wrong.
**Edit** He first was running roughly 5psi and after rebuilt tranny i think was 12psi for about a year.
