that is a good swap, I am honestly not sure about the availability of engine mounts though. I think the big difference is the tranny mounts with that swap, someone correct me if I am wrong.

its not hard to understand.. what part u dont understand.. its pretty much straight forward...
its like wire A goes to wire B... plain and simple... try reading it again but take it in steps
for me to take pics i would have to tear apart my whole harness...
on a side note if your note good or never done complicated wiring i suggest you have someone that does help you out

k24a2 is a good swap but you'd have to change tranny because theirs arent any mounts currently for the tranny in our chassis. the head is a little bit more restricted than a type s head aswell. If we had the tranny mounts it would be the best swap imo. the type r gears are 2 short for me....when it comes to drag racing that is. Other than that i feel thats its best to just swap a type s engine in the car and then later upgrade to the 2.4l bottom end. K-series = expensive.

any of the K series trannies. The ones that you can get the mounts for would be the k20a3 (EP3 5spd), K20a2 (RSX type S 6 speed), and a K20a (Integra type R 6 speed). Any of the newer Si/type S trannies will work, but the speed sensor is different, so it is difficult to get the speedo to work with this tranny. I would steer clear of any of the 05-06 type S or Si trannies due to the difficulty.

^ Its super easy to get the 05-06 Transmission to work, you just tap one wire from the ECU (E26 on 05 - 06 ECUs) to the C101 (On the civic side interior, Pin 6 Blu/Wht) connector and thats it... you have Speedo. I am running a complete k20z1 with tranny and wire harness and everything works.

Good to know, I never had the need to research, I just have heard how difficult it was. Do you need the 05-06 ECU?? I know that you can use Kpro for something related to the speed sensor, maybe that is for getting the older ECUs to work with the newer trannies.
The nice things about those trannies is you can get them fairly cheap.

^ 05-06 transmission is way better than the 02-04 just because of the 4.7FD, and less problems all together(like grinding etc)
Older ECUs work only if they are KPRO'd, and you have the 05-06 Adapter harness. It takes a little bit of rewiring but not too hard if you have access to wiring schematics.

the little stuff i left out intentionally... most of it was common sense and doesnt take a mad scientists to figure it out.. especially if you work on cars then you know where the small stuff goes.. but like i would tell everyone that asks me about the swap... if you never done anytype of extensive motorwork or swaps then this guide is just a basics on how to get the motor in and out and so forth.. lol.. example would be like the brake booster line from the master cylinder... theres only one place for it to go on the manifold.. lol..

The stock d17 shifter cables are shorter then the k20a2 cables. I knew i should have taken a picture of them for people to see. Little things like that is what im talking about. Maybe theres a trick to making the stock ones work? Who knows @@ As soon as i put on the k20 cables, it shifted perfect.

xproductionz do I need a ac compressor just to put in the alternator cuz it also doesnt come with it...and I think there like a front mount that on it too right...from what I see and research there only 3 mounting that I need the passenger front side, rear, and trans mount right....?

hate to burst your bubble but in my DIY it does say you need the shifter cables from the RSX..the only way ur gona get stock ones to work is the extend the length of the d17 cables... i tried... been there done that... trust me.. failed miserably... it actually costed me more to attempt to try and make my cables longer versus buying some new/used k20 ones.. i tried taking short cuts and finding cheaper routes to do the swap..

you got 2 options with the a/c compressor.. you can get rid of the compressor but you gotta run a custom length belt. OR... you can put in the compressor and run a factory belt... ur choice.. hoever i do have a compressor for sale if you need one

they dont make a type-s in automatic... however they do make a base rsx
i have done one.. actually costed more to do the swap than a manual.. but problem with that is you cant get or use kpro with an automatic... basically ur just doing the swap for like an additional 50-60 hp and cant really do any performance related things to it.. i mean u can but not as much as the kpro guys..
honestly ur better off doing the conversion to 5/6 speed and learning how to drive stick
