missing link problem
What is the deal with the hole on the side of the missing link. I got the synaps one used and when I installed it the car ran like crap. I would cover the hole on the side and it would run fine. whats up with that.

it can only go in one way. and the hole is between the inner check valve and the map sensor on the side of the link

so you have to keep doing this over and over? and when you run out then what. May be i'll just keep the little black box that came with the tsi kit. I just heard that with the missing link you got better boost transition

I guess that mechanically the "missing link" takes in air to smooth out the transition from vacuum to boost, though, I'm not entirely sure of what happens to that air. The hole is the passageway for that air and the filter keeps the dirt out. That's my guess...a theory, of sorts...
