Well I go tmy kit today, well parts of it anyway...no intercooler, no fuel system, or alch inj, oh god the ports look messed up on my manifold. This was supposed to be port matched to my P&P head, looks like they just rounded the edges with a damn fork or something.
I take some pics to post in a bit, I just got home, and I am unpacking my stuff.

The Pics:

So do I have the correct rubber tubing cconnector: 3 Large, 6 Medium, & 1 Small?
Notice the shody work on the ports of this exhaust manifold, why is it black, others are silver, can I get it silver?
I seem to be missing some stuff, yes!!!

They probably painted your manifold - which is why its black. Mild steel will rust if not protected.
The ports aren't that bad - the gasket will seal them (although, your gasket will need to be port matched for anything to happen). Basically they welded the pipes from the inside, and ground some of the weld down, to smooth it out....I wouldn't worry about that.
However, I find it interesting that they decided to ghetto rig a wastegate actuator to that compressor housing!
That is just.....wow, never seen that before. The actuator assembly is supposed to be BOLTED to the housing via a bracket - not welded - that's just poor. Man, I feel sorry for everyone doing buisness with SF.....
is it just me but doesn't there seem to be a pipe missing ? how are you guys getting in contact with sf via email? what email are you guys using because i've been trying all weekend since thursday to get in contact with them via phone

Do you suspect I will have problems if I try to port out the manifold more to closer match my head?
This whastegate rigged (has dents in it) how do you mean?
Perhaps the picture is not clear, but the wasegate bracket is welded to the housing, but the wastegate itself is bolted to the bracket. Is this not proper?
I am happy that something finally arrived, but I am still annoyed that it is not all here!
I paid them in full (when I placed the order 5 months back)
I call them everyday
I email them everyay
AND I HAVE NO RESPONSE FROM THEM AT ALL.
Mike(s) if you are reading this please let me know whats up with my kit.

yah i agree about the wastegate. Thats the first thing i noticed too. The actuator is also welded in one spot, so if it doesnt break off the bracket, the actuator will most likely snap over time. It looks like they used a compressor housing that was not designed for an internal wastegate.
I feel sorry for you guys. someone needs to make a trip to vegas, do some gambling, see some strip shows, and whoop some serious ***.

Better Picture shows that the Actuator bracket is welded on the other side, sorry. Hopefully it should hold up.
And what do you mean that this was not designed for internal wastegate, I can take oher pictures if it would help explain more?
I talked to Mike today for a while, and he is planning on sending the rest of my kit today, with the intercooler painted black, and a replacement oil-feed line, hopefully I will get it end of next week.

omg, that port work is horrible! When I did mine (first time for me), it looked 10x better. I don't think a gasket will form a seal with all those score marks. I would seriously be pissed if I received something like that.
opto, that's sweet you're gonna be boosting soon...about time

Good to hear man, I can see you are excited!
Do you have any e-manage maps that you plan on using, or are you going to create your own during dyno-tuning?

this is serious bs i've been calling sf every day for the past 10 days numerous times daily and i am being ignored all because of my items for the alc injection and my ems ive been waiting 1 month for it since it was supposedly shipped. I am tired of this i was in the nov 03 group buy and my kit is sitting here incomplete. I have lost all my desire to install this kit and i refuse to go to sears to buy misc missing **** that should of been included for the $3500 plus i payed for this. if anyone affiliated with SF in any way or form reads this let them know on tuesday aug 2nd i WILL be obtaining a lawyer and they willl be contacted via certified mail because they refuse to update or answer my calls ...

dude, i feel for you the most
You bought ur kit when i bought mine and i felt cheated when i waited so long, i'm sorry bro
it's cool though civic01
... I'm glad your boosted cause you went through the same ish.. their quality in their products dropped and it's sad because i was really looking forward to boosting my sedan but oh well hopefully i get some sort of response from SF
I am so very sorry you guys are still going through all this. I was the boosted Corolla that PM'd everyone about the shoddy work and crappy customer service back in February. The fact most of you have held out this longs amazes me. I paid for my kit in full and had something of a kit two weeks later so not being able to produce in a kit in four months is absolutely unacceptable in my eyes. I knew trying to get a refund of any kind was pointless so I sold my kit to the first person willing to deal with all the BS stafford puts out. I really don't know what I would have done if I were in your guys shoes but I know one thing and one thing for certain is I would have sought legal action looooooong before now. The longer you guys wait the harder it is going to be and stafford is counting on that.
I would like to point out a few things about the kits and pictures of kits posted on this board... SEND THAT S**T BACK!!! That has got to be some of the worst welding I have ever seen. The last set of pictures with the wastegate actuator is the worst. That turbo is SOOOOOOOOOOOO not new and is only a cheap rebuild. Send it all back and get your money back while you can. SF is not a company you want to deal with or represent with your car.
I really hope people back up their words and really do something because until stafford is held accountable for their inability to complete a simple transaction or follow up on customers orders in a timely fashion they are going to continue to send out incomplete kits, shoddy parts if parts at all...
Jeff

If the turbo is used do you think I will have problems with it, even rebuilt?
Oh man don't make me start questioning my cool new toy before I even get to installl it, what would happen to my engine under boost at high rpm if a small piece were to fall off and somehow got through my Intake Manifold to explode itself into a flaming plastic bomb shattering my pistons and sending a valve exploding through my head, glancing off the throttle cable to fly through the hood and windshield, finally to embed itself it firmly in my crème cheese and onion bagel I was gladly eating during my big race with the championship fast guy in this part of the woods - which in turn smacked me
across the cheek after the race for which I was so embarrassed losing to an overweight lesbian communist bucktoothed crusading hillbilly with a wooden leg and a glass eye that glows in the dark and cries golden tears, but they are obviously enchanted somehow unknown to people like us on a lower level of continuousness; unfortunately to me they belonged to another, and for that --- "This silliness must end!" I pronounce aloud to an unknown crowd of curious onlookers and un-expecting spectators.
Sorry, I was rambling.
This thread needed a boost of endorphans to keep it alive, ahhhh come on SF get the rest of my turbo kit to me time is running out.
2001rolla is right i sat there and was looking at this "kit" and was like i really dont see where $3500 went. i looked on the inside of my pipes where they were welded and they are terrible pieces that can break off under boost and be sucked into the turbo .. i'll try and get some pics up here tomorrow before i go lawyer hunting.

i got ur PM.........as a matter of fact, i still think i have it. Yeah, my kit is shitty.......shitty welds on Mani...small hole in a weld on one of my pipes, bracket for WG actuator welded to compressor housing. I ordered a T3 super 60 and it isn't, they told me it was machined to fit a .60 trim
