accord v6.

ok, the question is easy:

if K24 fits on civic bay, will the v6 fit? (k30?)

here in mexico you can do that type of swaps.. still not laws against them.. so..

is it possible?

im not gonna do it right now.. but if i can get the engine for cheap.. why not.

240bhp sounds like a fun ride..

I don't think the new Accord 3.0 V6 6 speed is a K series engine. I believe it's just a Vtec. I remember reading a review that said they were amazed the new V6 accord Vtec had a higher red line then the k24. But, I do know there is no K30.

The V6 might fit. My k20 swap takes up a bit of space but leaves enough for a v6. Although, I'm not sure if it's enough room for you to keep your power steering, air conditioning, etc. without cutting.

just becuase the 4cylinder version might fit doesnt mean the v6 will fit. Have you ever thought that the accord has a bigger engine bay than a civic

actually.. as i see the engine.. it just consumes space on the upper part of the bay.. lower part is the same as the K24..

thats why it may fit, the only problem would be hood clearance on the front part..

I have a question thought..

that would go if i do K24 or (J30a whatever) v6..

I dont think accord suspension is bolt on, on civic like rsx does..

what are the options?

Accord engine, RSX/Si suspension???

My friend has an accord v6 and it is a J30A1. It is possible to fit it in you just have to get a tranny that would work with it.

He says the CLS tranny would work but it would b a really tight fit. The CLS is smaller than the Accords so it should b easier to fit in. Either way its gonna b difficult its just a matter if your willing to spend the money and go through the trouble and labor.

i thought of making this because the price for the engine (k24/J30) would be the same here..
