'02 EX vs. 2.5 TS

My friend is getting a new subaru 2.5 ts in the next couple weeks and keeps talkin smack about my civic. What do you guys think would win. I've only got I/E in a 5sp. Thanks

Drivetrain losses boys and girls...
Subaru AWD will eat 40-45 HP through the differentials.
You might be looking at a 10-15 HP difference by the time you hit the pavement and Civics are lighter than Subies. 2.5s are 16 second cars.... I'm calling this a close one.

Agreed i rode in a 2.5rs coupe and it felt like i was in my civic same acceleration and pick up
so it depends on if you are good drivers or not . Out drive him!!

You'll race from a roll, too, if you have half a brain. From a roll and I say its close. Dig= you won't catch up for a LONG time. (even though the RS is not THAT easy to launch because it doesn't have the power to spin its wheels easily.)

Last time when I was at the track (watching not racing) there was 2 base imprezas and both ran 16.5-17. I know they had at least exhaust.

I didn't know the base Imprezas came with AWD. He probablly won't even be able to drive his new car at its best anyways so you will win this race man!

Thanxs everybody I think he realizes he's got some weight and drive train loss on me I'll have to stip some of the interior just before so hell eat that much more ****. thanks for the opinions
