Will The Wheels Fit?
Will The Wheels Fit?
Hey guys, I'm in the process of doing the suspension/wheel set up on my 03 ES2 & I have a quick question. I found a pair of Rota Grids (16x7; 4x100; +40 offset; 67.1 hub size). However, the person selling them is telling me that they won't fit my car. I've been looking into wheels for a while however & I've found plenty of others in this forum with similar wheel specs. Since this is my first time buying new wheels, I'm not knowledgable enough to know, but do the wheels actually fit my car or not & if so, would anybody know the size of the tires I need? I can't seem to find that either. I'm going to be dropped on Koni Yellow struts w/ Ground Control coilover sleeves, at about a 2.5 inch drop. Thanks!

Re: Will The Wheels Fit?
Tire size you will want to keep it at a size that has the same or close to the same rolling diameter as your OEM wheel/tire package. This is important for keeping the speedometer and odometer accurate. If you don't care about that then matching it as closely is not as important.

Re: Will The Wheels Fit?
Will a taller tire than stock affect the transmission gear shifting? For example lx was 195/60/15 and I have had 205/65/15 for 2 years or so and I know the speedometer is a little slightly off, I was wanting a taller tire 195/70/15 to get lower rpm on highway and better mpg. So I want to install tires at Costco this time but they won't allow me to install anything other than exact stock size
