Wink RSX-S VS. Plymouth Avenger.....

Last weekend the spring fever got the best of me, I had to take my Type S out for a spin. Of course I cant seem to go anywhere without someone challenging me. So on with the story.

It was about 11:30 Saturday night and I was on my way to a night club with a couple of my friends, they were in the Avenger (we were not drinking). So we pull up to the last stoplight before the on ramp to the highway and I waited for the light to change. Its a perfect spot, two lanes, one straight 1/8 mile run, no traffic. Naturally she has to start reving, why any sane person would do this in that car is beyond me. It has no muffler, and its pretty much beat to death. As the light changed to green I hear her "attempt" to overtake me from the start, bad idea. Still in 1st gear I floored it and almost lost control of the car because I have my stock tires on and the loose sand in the road didnt help either, I finally got traction and wound through 2nd and then 3rd. I had put about 5 car lengths on the Avenger by then and there was no way it even came close to passing me. The sound of i-VTEC is truley wonderful, I cant wait until spring.

Maybe next time I will tell you about me VS. the '71 Camaro with NOS from a 50 mph start. Needless to say I got myself owned. Big time.

I think the specs are: Heavy, Underpowered, and it "looks" fast. Personally I have never been to the tracks or had it timed.

There is a guy where I live that owns a red Celica GT, he claims to have some engine work done but it sounds just like an intake and exhaust to me nothing special. I probably will never run him eiither because he is a sherrif.
