I think it probably has to do with resale, I know around here cavaliers and stuff like that pushing 300,000 but still running strong sell for $500 ... So really, your not far off scrap price and if you find someone who wants to buy some stuff out of it, its scrap. Thats what I like about Honda's over domestic, they actually hold resale value. No matter what you dump into a neon, it's never really worth that much. Still, 200 hp in a light platform like that will for sure be quick and if it's something you like, who cares. I'll get a "real car" when I get a real job, I'm lucky I have a car at all considering most of my money goes to school.
