im responding to the first post...im sorry, but you arent the only one that has had **** luck with your car. talk to any DSM owner and their stories will last into the night and are MUCH worse than yours. everyone here who has done work to their car has been frustrated as well at some point or another, im sure of it, but thats no reason to rant about how you give up nad this and that. be a man and stick it out, or part it out, sell the car, and get something that is more mod friendly..all the advice i can give

listen man.. i can rant about whatever the hell I want. I didnt ask for your advice.. Im as much a member on this forum as you are and am free to post anything I feel like as long as it abides by the forum rules. Not you or anybody else is going to tell me that I have no reason to post my rant. Do not tell me to "be a man" and "dont be a bitch" when you have no idea who I am. Anyway.

Heres some progress pics, got my new headlights in and put them on. I've opted to not black them out and leave them looking OEM. Ive decided to also sell most of the parts sitting in my closet and get my car looking as stock as possible. Back to how it was in 2002 when Honda first let it out the womb. That means, all new paint on the fenders and bumpers, no scratches, no dents, no spoiler (possibly, because the trunk needs repainting, so I might just get a new trunk w/o a spoiler), and factory grill. Im going to try and make the car look as clean and brand new as possible and decide where to go from there. Wether it be to trade the car in, try and mod it again or whatever the case may be, will depend on MY decision after I get it looking brand new again.. I think im moving in the right direction. A clean slate might be good for me.





I also put the oem ssm grill back on, but its missing the H emblem. I took it off a while back to put on the tezza grill.. and that dissapeared into the side of the road after the little accident.. oh well.

Lol, my car has served me well for the past 4 years, I have been in couple of fender benders and collected some good money over the years from stupid people that hit me (~$10,000), I got a quote for $2000 to straighten everything up and complete repaint and then the car's going up for sale. Time to move on to something RWD, looking forward to pick up an E36 BMW soon, with S52 swap later on

yea man im debating what to do after i get everything back to normal... im not entirely happy with the car. I love it.. the way it looks, how it feels.. its comfortable, but for some reason im losing love for it..im tired of the automatic too. I even replaced the alternator on the 92 Geo Storm sittin back at home last weekend, just so i could drive it around. No power steering, blown shocks and destroyed cv joints ftw! it was pretty scary driving that thing up and down the neighborhood... its got a new clutch in it so that was nice, but trying to take a turn at 15 mph, while pulling on the steering wheel all the way to the right, and not really turning...is scary.

When I got back in my civic...it made me feel better about it lol i was happy

lol looks good so far. i just got an H emblem off ebay for my tezza grill and stuck that on. ill post some pic later. but yea its prolly better to get it looking stock again and then see what you dont like and want to mod again. ive changed the look of my car so many times ive lost count. pretty much the only thing thats stayed is the lip kit and now the rims i can say for sure. i went through three oem headlight styles, 2 kinds of projectors, an hid retro, three grills, 2 sidemarkers, 4 sets of tails, 3 radios, subs, dash light colors, etc. i guess as i got older i wanted different things and just sortof switched stuff around. i know its stupid to say again, but i feel like my car is pretty much done again, well the big things anyway. its funny cause my car now looks more like it did 4 yrs ago when i started out lol.

exactly gear..im kind of like... i guess pulling away from the idea of having my car be fast and stuff. before i was like man i have to get this header or save for this exhaust or find this special intake and blah blah... for lack of money and time and patience at this point in life.. a kswap/turbo/ or useless bolt ons are not in my interest. im kind of tired of driving to school and having every eg hatch or 6" exhaust cavalier pull up wanting to "race".... its getting old. I just want my car to LOOK nice at this point.. i really dont want or have the need to go fast right now.. so maybe in 6 years down the road ull see a Dsevens Turbo Thread but for now... nothin like that..

by the way im looking for an oem intake thing.. i can trade my injen short ram and im also lookin for oem exhaust manifold.. i got the obxs up for trade..

i dont need the exhaust.. and i dont have much to trade that would be of use to you. Once I get a stock airbox and manifold, ill have my OBX header and Injen intake to trade or sell or whatever. I dont know what you could use that I have... how much are u looking for it? I have an extra valve cover.. if ur interested, i dont know how much that would be worth for you.

Oh im sorry, I thought this was a free forum, so I can stick my 2 cents into this thread, and you showing your bad side will just remind me to never help you from this point on. I was trying to give you motivation to not be upset, but I guess you didnt see that, and only saw my few remarks, which were only used to make a point. And no you didnt ask for my advice, but by posting this on a free forum, you will get different answers. I am sorry that I didnt tell you what you wanted to hear, and now you are heartbroken that not everyone feels sorry for you. Post whatever you want, but realize that everyone else will do the same, and you wont always get the kind of responses, and in this case it seems to me, the sympathy you wanted. Goodbye

I dont have to listen to anything you have to say. I didnt have to read more than the first two sentences you wrote. You have no reason to say "dont be a bitch" or "be a man" to anybody. I never said I wanted sympathy.. was that the point of this thread? No it wasnt, what so ever. Thanks for your input on the DSM points... But im pretty damn sure that the problems going on with my car, are not the worst in the world. I realize that other members and/or car owners have way more serious problems. Not once did I mention that I was the only one going through problems with my car. This was my own rant, about my own vehicle. I didnt need to hear anything from anybody, I simply posted this because I could. Why are you wasting your time on this thread, Im sure somebody else somewhere else needs your technical assistance. Im sure you're a nice guy and all, but please... gtfo, whatever you have to say, isnt worth it at this point. This thread was made a month ago, and i never asked questions to get ANY answers. And to once again, and for the last time (because you dont seem to have a clue so far) to show my point.

Coilover install...we have a DIY...if they are full coilovers, its there, and if they are just coilover springs from ebay (once again a mistake on your part) the DIY is also there...its all in one. Either you are too lazy to search, or you want the work done for you...if thats the case, pay a shop and they will do it

Your intake clearly has Injen stamped on it, yet you say you used sticky stuff to hold it in place...an improper install, your fault

Your headlights tuning yellow..well you painted them, that means you had them apart, that means you did something wrong...lets see, your fault

You got a header and now it has waterspots...dont make a thread asking how to clean it (which I know), include it in here

LX badge...hmm, im too lazy to find and glue on an EX badge...let me complain.

You dont have 150 for a welder...I dont know what kind of super exotic shops you have in your area, but here, they charge 45 dollars to weld on a muffler, and 25 for a resonator...did you bother looking around?? did you do the research that using a welder is not the smartest thing to do if you dont know how (by your previous work I wouldnt be surprised if you didnt have a clue)...of course you didnt.

What did you do? You made this thread, and then got mad at me for trying to motivate you not to quit..and yes I used some harsh words, but sometimes, you need to to make a point. Sorry Jose, but I dont feel bad for you unlike most of the people here. Like I said, its life, it wont always go your way. Learn to live with it.

no, Im not someone who gets my kicks from bashing people. I just wanted to give you a smack in the head and try to make you realize that giving up maybe wasnt the right move. I have helped people, look through my recent posting history, look at my DIY, and my general effort to answer as many questions as I can and help members new and old with their problems. If you had possibly ASKED I would have shown you, and given you solutions to your problems, but I guess its past that at this point. You made a choice, noone will stop you, I wouldnt be against it if you had said "ok im going back to stock because Im tired of modding my car"...I just cant understand why you had to make a big deal out of it, instea of making a thread saying "ok these are the problems I have, ive looked around and have a few ideas in my head, can someone help me out?"

at least you're there... i posted a page before about whats been going on... got new headlights in and found an oem grill.. at this point im scavenging parts and putting it back to stock completely. Hopefully I can get it back to as new looking as possible and go from there. Im thinking of trading it in for another vehicle or rethinking what direction i want to go as far as modding the same car.. i wont know until i get her back to stock and looking fresh again. Selling parts i had in my closet, to raise money to repaint the fenders n bumpers.. then i have to get an oem airbox and manifold... that should be it.. plus other maintenance.

i think an oem trade-in or sale by owner, and i cant say i blame u for quitting, i have been there so many times, like when i did my timing belt, and the car sat on jack stands for a week cuz i broke a bracket and sensor.... but u just gotta keep at it, but i can understand, it is frustrating... if u do trade in what are u gonna get in its place?

Now that you put it that way, i skimmed the rest of the thread, and although it seems like you came to some conclusions, you still could have had a better handle on things in the beginning. Besides, you should have taken my original post with a grain of salt, and you can see that I edited it just minutes after posting to remove certain things I thought were just rude.

BTW I have a stock intake if u wana swap for the Injen...one of the holes that takes a screw to hold the filter box and resonator together broke from me overtightening it, but it still holds together well.
