For a everyday car, with style, the D17 engine as small as it is, is still powerful enough to make me happy. The stock engine is really weak, I will admit that. When i first got my car I thought, "gee how slow I am.." after having a turbo motor, it sucked. Slowly I started to upgrade the engine, and thats all it took. Honda made a decent block in our cars (EX), and added decent base HP. They left the rest up to us. One thing i noticed is how loud you can make one sound with a full cat back exhaust. Anyways, Im happy with it.

Stop going by what the companys tell you the gain of their product should be... chances are you have 105hp to the wheels if that. A Stock base model RSX would have about 140-145 to the wheels... So no way in hell.

The idle just sounds like too big of a cam for the car. Over all as long as it gets up and goes, it's all good. or it kinda sounds like no oil in the car. lol I don't want to know. Engine sounds to loud for having oil you might want to check that.

I can believe that he beat a type s. They are not that fast i drove a 2005 in parking lot and floored it and untill the vtec kicks in it's just like our cars. It just feels like alot of power because your use to driving a civic.
wow I just read this for the first time ... you did not beat a dc5-r. no way in hell did you beat one unless the dude was parked.
I remember you wanted to bet some guy $1000 to beat a b18c hatch and now you talk of beating a dc5-r? a well driven stock dc5-r will run a low 14 and I know you're not running that with your n/a sohc setup.
