Because it CAN be done. I don't know about you guys, but I'm much more impressed by this (if true), then lets say a swapped k20. For the same reason I'm much more impressed by a Civic, swapped or not, that can take out something with 8 cyl.

Why put ANY money into a civic when you could buy a used C5 vette for about the same?

Because he wanted to.

Same reason mine is completely built. When i come and post my 300 whp dyno graph, most people on here will either:
A) **** their pants
or
B) Call BS anyway

Then when i actually have some time/money to dyno tune the car more, i will put down a 400+ whp dyno.

then the same will happen. Why?

The answer is simple... There are too many people on here that are posting about topics that they saw in the last Honda Tuning magazine, and have no actual experience on anything close to the subject matter.

We are talking about engines here. How many people who posted here even know what plastiguage is? How many have actually used it? If you can answer yes to both of those, then congratulations. You know the FIRST thing about building a motor. And if you cant, then go beat yourself with your mouse until you die.

PLASTIGAUGE is in the measurement of clearance in plain automotive bearings. PLASTIGAUGE is also highly effective for measuring the clearance in large bearings which include Marine Drive Shaft bearings, Turbine housing bearings, Pump and Pressure System bearings. Shaft end-float lends itself to direct measurement by PLASTIGAUGE.

Ok, now you know the first thing about engine building. But you cannot completely build your motor from looking up a word on google. (yea, http://www.plastigauge.co.uk/ is where you got that quote)

I am tired of all the negativity thats been with building the D17. The people that actually have the real experience with the motor think that it has potential. Everyone that has ZERO experience think its crap because it is slow in its stock form. "well id swap for a K20 and be like BOOYA BEATCH!" Im tired of crap like this flooding the forum.

But then again, everyone thought that Theodore Maiman was nuts when he said that he could focus light to cut matter. Now look around, how many things use lasers?
