Title pretty much says it all, price is about the same...
Does anyone have the koni's on their car? Tried a search but came up empty handed.

Tokico blues have been the preferred strut in that price range for many years, but Koni Str wasn't released for our cars until a a couple years ago and almost everyone has continued using the tried and test blues. Koni Str is very popular among earlier gen civic owners though, and vastly preferred to blues. Given the choice, if I were to purchase today, I would probably go with koni. I did however, purchase blues a year ago and used them for six months and absolutely loved them just like everyone else. It's practically a coin toss.

i looked at the ebay listing...and its wrong...at least the description/info
it says:
Will Fit:
HONDA Civic 01-05 ( 50mm outer diameter housing. excl Si )
*Part Number: 8750-1019L + 8750-1019R + 8050-1025(2)
theres a problem there. the 01-02 use 50mm housing while the 03-05 use 55mm housing.
you cannot put the if u put the 50mm koni in a 55mm strut housing, it'll be extreeeeeemly loose, resulting in very sloppy handling.

to the OP:
these are not direct plug and play.
you have to really moddify and hack ur stock suspension to get these in. these are the same setup as the koni yellows (which i have). they are a big pain in the *** to install.
(just something to keep in mind)
so for simplicity sake, id say get the blues.

when you buy it, you will JUST get a tube (yours will be red tho, the picture shows the koni yellow series)
you will have to hack ur STOCK suspension, drill a hole at the bottom, insert the seals/rubber dusk cover the proper way, and then install it. its really a PITA.
heres what i mean:

no their direct replacements. no modifying at all. it replaces the oem housings with 50mm housings and a 50mm tube already installed together.
their not like the yellows, just like blues

?
STR.T are the lowest price replacement from Koni...
from their site:
Honda 01-02 Civic Sedan/Coupe Excl. SI - STR.T- Street (Orange)
Front Rear
8750 1019L
8750 1019R 8050 1025
Replaces 50mm O.D. Original struts
i ndo not think they are insert type either? just normal replacement struts, the cheapest from koni... not sure how they perform. Heard some good reviews for miatas, but them again all depends on the valving being correct for the car. And they could be valved for stock but not consider stiffer springs (like the blues are for civics, but not for miatas).

Re: koni str.t or tokico blues?
I had the STR.T installed two weeks ago on my 08 EX daily driver on stock springs. I immediately noticed less body roll on a few local twisty roads. The ride is firmer and overall I prefer how it has improved the handling. I've picked up a noise in the front which is only heard when the car is cold and at low speeds over bumps. Once the car is warm and/or at speed, no noise. Everything is tight, the isolator is installed and nothing is rubbing. Any thoughts on the cause?
Overall, I'd recommend if you want a ride that's firmer than stock but comfortable for daily driving.
I bought my full set from RedShift Motorsports at a competive price. Chris was very helpful - contact info below.
