Need advice
Need advice
Lately I've been noticing more and more the uncomfortable ride my civ is giving me. My suspension and wheel setup is all stock and I'm just over 103k miles. I'm not sure if I really need to replace anything right now but let's say I want to get the most comfortable ride possible. What do you think I should do? I hear about shocks, struts, ball joints, coilovers and honestly I don't much about suspension. I just want a more comfortable ride, maybe a lil better handling, and especially dampen that rear bumpiness our civics are known for. Suggestions?

what do you mean by uncomfortable ride? Bouncy as ****? You can feel every pebble in the road?
Re: Need advice
I wouldn't say I feel EVERY pebble in the road. I'm just referring to the less than par ride all civs have stock. In my car, major potholes can cause a loud thud and some railroad crossings at speed can make the back end bounce wildly. I want as smooth a ride as possible without sacrificing (maybe even improving) handling, as I tend to make fast turns and drive usually drive 10 to 15 over the limit.

Re: Need advice
confort and handling - select the spring rates and get matching shock damping ratios (most likely revalved shocks), but i am not sure it does exist for civics.
Miatas are known for some guys having 3 to 5 times the stock spring rates but with matching damping ratios that makes then closer to confort levels or even better than stock, with amazing handling, but they are custom valved and could be above 2k, sometimes around 5k a set.
