Increased resistance in left side seat belt tensioner

Hey, I swapped in a set of RSX leather seats into my 05 sedan. All's well except my airbag light is now on. Hooked up a code reader and it's giving me the code Increased resistance in left side seat belt tensioner. Cleared it and it came back right away.

The car they were in before mine didn't have an airbag light. Any advice? Thanks

Re: Increased resistance in left side seat belt tensioner

Did you plug it in? Has the tensioner been deployed?

Sometimes this code is set be a very very small amount of corrosion on the terminals in the connector. Other times it can be a pin-fit issues which is when the female terminal is spread out and not griping the pin properly.

The service info will tell you to not measure the resistance of tensioners and inflator due to the risk of accidental deployment.

Re: Increased resistance in left side seat belt tensioner

What is the actual code number?

HINT: "Belt" is not the same as "buckle". Think about it.

I'll look into this, thanks.
Is it possible to use the buckle assembly off of my stock seats with the rsx seats? Thanks

Won't do any good.
It's not a buckle problem.
