i have tein basics, and i like them. the only thing i dont like is that you can't change the damping. let me ask you this question, what are you using the car for? is it a daily driver?? do u do some auto-x?? you should pick out your suspension, according to your needs.....

Re: opinions...
You can get it rebuilt. Probably will be about 100 bucks.
Search megans, there is a whole long *** thread on it. I'm waiting for mine to hit my doorstep.

I love my Tein SS setup, have been running it for 3 years. Probably need to get the LF rebuilt (damn British roads) but other than its been fab. A little pricey, but worth it.

Re: opinions...
hmmm... i've heard nothing but good things about the K-Sports, so i'm suprised that you dont like them.
well, if you want to track your car, i wouldnt suggest the Tein SS because thats definately more of a street suspension so its softer. but, i must say, that the SS were one of the most comfortable coilovers.
you should expand your selection by looking at everything, not just coilovers. sometimes a good strut/spring combo is what you are looking for...

i was really unhappy with the ksport. they were extremely bouncy, i dunno how good the guy before me took care of them or what happened when he had them but i would never purchase them again.

Re: opinions...
wow that really sucks. I feel bad for you. I also thought ksport had a decent product. I have a set of flex sittin in my garage and im still waiting for replacement parts. Eyger said he sent me the washers to change the hub diameter so hopefully they'll be here within 2 weeks. Mail is so slow. I still need 2 more of those washers. Wondering if anybody has some. Also would ur ksport coilovers be for sale then??? I know a guy whose lookin for a set. And ksport has great customer service UNLIKE tein. And paying around 100 to get a damper rebuilt is a small price to pay for getting practically new ksport coilovers.

Re: opinions...
How "heavy" do you plan on getting in to competition and how much driving experience do you have (as in does oversteer bother you?)
Re: opinions...
im confident in my driving experience. ya i'll sell my ksports, he'll want them even if one has a blown shock? im leaning towards the megan track series. anyone know of a decent website?

Re: opinions...
So you've driven the car in competition then? Ok then I have a few recommendations for you.
1. Lose your front anti-roll bar. You wont need it and its only reducing your front end traction any ways.
2. Alignment...your probably going to eventually be in the -2 Deg or more range once you start tracking the car. But for now get the car aligned to -1.5 deg camber on the nose and -.5 on the rear, Zero out the toe front and rear (your going to use rear toe as a tuning tool. More towards toe out = grater tendency to oversteer, where more towards toe in = less oversteer.)
3. Dampers, You need to find something that only adjust Rebound (with a single adjustable damper). Dampers that adjust bump + rebound with one **** such as what comes from TEIN,JIC and ALL of those cheep "coilovers" like Megan racing are going to be Sub optimum for track use. especially if you are trying to get 10/10ths out of the car. That leaves you with a lot fewer choices when it comes to dampers. your pretty much looking at Koni, BC racings RSD or KW V2's. The best bang for your buck being Koni (Tied in with Ground controls).
yeah, No Bad.
Why would you want to ham string your cars handling right off the bat? Stiffer doesn't mean its a "track" setup. Don't even look at a company that doesn't post shock dyno's of their dampers. it just screams of "what are they trying to hide" Bah!
