insurance payout...money to play with

Hi everyone!
So I need opinions...
Insurance handed me a grand to play with an my ride is an 05 em1. Already got a front strut bar...very nice BTW...an a act stage one clutch..modified air box...that's about it.

How would this money be best spent? Mini me swap with stage one cam? Exhaust upgrade like apexi ws2? Something engine wise?

Or maybe suspension like a full coil over kit...

What have you done And were most pleased with? I'm leaning towards the suspension side, cause I drive like hell thru the back woods roads here in pa...an without suspension to handle the power, what's your turbo worth, right?

Suggestions?
Comments?
Ideas?
Hit me up!
Merry Christmas!

don't bother with the ECU, but drop the crower s1 anyways - they great! yeh will need the EX head swap though - not sure if there was still one for sale in the sale forums.
rear RSX sway bar for sure.

In my opinion, suspension gives the best bang for the buck of any area of modification.

I would spend the money on koni/gc and an RSX sway.

This rsx sway I keep hearing...bolt on or mod needed? Then doesn't that raise issues of clearance with an exhaust?

An if I did do coil overs, I want the cost below like 800 or so...they get pretty Damn pricy

just the mounting hardware to the sub-frame and the bar from a salvage yard and then the progress mounting kit for the rear arms if yer car does not have it.

Re: insurance payout...money to play with

I doubt theres any kind of mounting things in the back end...pretty bare under there...and i get rear end roll when im flyin an i crest a hill with a turn...rear wants to keep going but the front pulls it back...suppose a rear sway bar would correct that some?
which leads me to more questions..
is there any issue mounting em2 coilovers? dont even think if i could find ones for a vp aka em1...
and the high flow cat...heard alot of people complaining about CEL's because it flows more air so it trips up the 'properly' installed o2 sensors?
but if i used the stocky, it would only restrict my line cause its like...1.5" dia or something?
whats a man to do? use a header/cat from an ex?...aint that the same issue?

Hmmm...

judging by what i understood...the D17A1...in the 01-05DX/LX/VP (no rear sway bar, no vtack, no fu#king power windows in mine lol) was EM1...and the D17A2, in the 01-05 EX was EM2...ya'll got pwr everything AND a moonroof/sunroof....hole in the top??!

Regardless of whomevers ignorance, the questions still stand LOL...or do they??? Who in the heck can put this question to rest??? wikipedia? LOL

The description is true for sedans.

D17a1 - DX/LX/VP/SE are ES1
D17a2 - Ex are ES2

All coupes, regardless of trim, are em2s however.

The 99-00 civic si with a b16a2 is an em1.
